Raidwar results from API

Hey all,
Is there a way to pull all faction raidwar results through API for a single faction?
Trying to do it from events is missing previous results due to 100 events limit.

You can get older events using timestamps. I'm guessing you are calling faction/mainnews?

yeah either faction mainnews. i will try to divide them to weekly events and filter out only the rw ones.

If you don't want to parse through faction/mainnews, you can also use torn/raids or torn/rankedwars to get war IDs, then use torn/rankedwarreport to get the reports by ID. You would still need to use timestamps to loop through older reports, as it also returns up to 100 results.

Making these RankWar reports with only 100 results a time takes a very long time depending on how long the rank war was
I did this for the first time a few weeks ago for our 76 hours rank war
I came unstuck and my app crashed after downloading 57,000 lines of the first 10hrs of the rank war, after viewing the results which I had downloaded I saw the problem that 100 results only covered 1-2 minutes of the war, so for me this was an impossible task

my alternative option was to use YATAs rank war reports which also came with combined chain reports

Even with YATA doing all the work this still took many hours to compile, it was at 57% after 4 hours using my own API keys, but I was able to turn off the computer and get some sleep and see the results in the morning

it was a bit overwhelming at first, you have to switch the filters for different results, after an hour or so of putting them onto spreadsheets my work was done resulting in these reports on the first 4 tabs of spreadsheets here

Depending on the depth and stats you want, Debrief might be a good option - it usually takes ~5 minutes to generate a war report with some spicy stats. It is not perfect and does not represent all incoming hits, but a lot of people find it very useful :) Best part - i don't charge any money for it (donations always welcome :P)!

It all looks very pretty and as you say it is not perfect, it doesn't represent the whole faction in most parts, just the top 5
and bars readings with ratios and hits with results all over the place it is not easy to read and has no feeling

Also, it is not a Rank War report, its personal stats read #start and #end for a chain, it does not include any Rank War information for Assist, RW hits and None RW hits

Read you loud and clear, just tried to point out it has all the things you asked for and even provides a full table as a csv for yourself to play with. It's not easy to make an automated report with "feeling", but you could also just use it to extract the data you need and work it yourself. If you are using faction api, the attacks are pulled from faction/attacksfull, and not user/personalstats, so they should be accurate.
Not trying to start a conflict, just pointing out the things you incorrectly stated in the initial post :)

I don't have any problems with API iv been pulling stats since the APIs were introduced in 2015

I was advising the OP on a solution and the trouble I had doing it the correct way

and it turns out he only wanted who won the RW
example: Twisted won the rank war with etc. etc...

hexxeh: i wanna mod the code i made for live signatures (like the one i have into my forumsig) to create a badge system, to show off the factions you have won on a rw, with your faction.
