“Ayo, Bags. What The F~k is this place?” Walker asked, coming down the stairs and into the DedSec safe house, which was well hidden in a Pub’s Cellar, near the London parliament building.
“This is your new home. Just try not to trash it up too much. You may be the first one here but there are more people joining you. Or at least. But I’m pretty certain that there’s going to be someone else who’ll turn up… Eventually” The Male AI voice responded.

Barnaby spun his keyring around his fingers as he quietly descended down the worn wooden stairs into the old cellar. His eye caught a slender figurine with pink hair and a black face mask. She was in conversation with the Bagley that was installed here. She had a pleasantly deep, dark voice. Though she impressed innocently enough, her stance told Barnaby that, once again, looks could be deceiving. Besides, he knew better than to underestimate anyone purely by their appearance. He had no doubt this girl was either a dangerous enemy or a valuable ally, depending on what side she was on. He vaguely nodded in her direction and sat down at the most strategic table in the room. Close enough to the stairs to have an escape route, but far away enough from the entrance to avoid drawing immediate attention from whoever would enter. He looked around the room, hoping they would serve drinks here.

“Yo! I take it you got Brandt’s note too?” Walker asked as she watched the stranger walk in,
”no matter how he was recruited, we can use all the help that we can get. While we wait, how about some musi-“ Before Bagley could finish, Walker knew what was going to be asked
”Tunes? Alright Bags. How’s about… Je M’appelle by Benzz?”
”while I am a construct of code, I do think that you’re a right knob for listening to this. But. Like i said. I’m just a code. So.”
”cheeky bast’rd, I don’t normally tho, but this is an exception. It’s a decent song. Just play it. even if it’s just through my optik or summat.”
”alright. Connecting to those headphones on the desk. Use those.”
”That’s a W. Thanks Bags”
”No problem”
Walker then moved to the desk and picked up the pink-black mesh coloured headphones and placed them on. Leaving one ear covered and the other not, just so she could still have conversations.
Benzz - Je m’appelle The music began to play through the headphones. as Walker took out her phone, then pocketed it again and looking to the man by one of the tables.
”so, stranger. I guess we’re workin’ together? I’m Walker, well. Ashlyn. But I go by Walker. Can’t say My real name to most with the profession that I have”
Walker laughed slightly and held her hand out, ready for a handshake. ”Ain’t no sense in being harsh to a fellow resistance fighter”

Barnaby closely followed the woman's every move as she interacted with the AI about playing some music. Not out of suspicion, but out of habit. He had made a point to observe as much as he could at all times, and he wasn’t going to stop doing that now. She picked a song, bickered with the Bagley about it, and walked towards the desk where some headphones were installed. She moved supple and lightly, a sure sign she was more than fit. She crookedly positioned the headphones on her head, leaving one ear free. He assumed it was because that way, she could still have a conversation. An assumption that was confirmed when she turned her attention to him and introduced herself.
Her name was Ashlyn, but she called herself Walker. She held out her hand. Barnaby slowly rose to his feet, grabbed her hand firmly, and shook it once. 'The name's Barnaby. Barnaby Grey.' he said softly, a hint of a smile around his lips. He paused for a second to gauge her reaction and then continued. 'An intriguing nickname you have there, young lady. Quite peculiar. Care to elaborate on it?'

“Heh. I guess… Walker was the nickname given to me by my aunt when I moved out here, Y’know. British father, Jamaican mother. Y’know. That kinda thing. But… I… it’s my stuck name. It’s what they all used to call me. I guess I just kept with it to honour them. I guess…” Walker sat down and stared blankly.
”They uh… coming up almost ten years now… uh… when I was just a kid. Albion. They used to bring a sense of comfort into my life. Those mercs saved me, man. Some goons had always been coming round, bangin’ on neighbours doors and ours, taking in ‘protection money’ and… well. One day. I come home from college and mumzy is at the house. wanting to see me… it… it happened so fast… but I can remember it all so clearly… sh~t… I should’ve known…” Walker quickly took off her glasses and placed them on the table and rubbed her eyes.
”Those goons f~kin’ busted down the door. Guns and everythin’ Demanding their money. My aunt went to fight back… bang. Then my mum. They f~kin’ put her down. I dashed out of the house, fast as I damn well could. Took a round… skimmed my neck. Took another to the leg… half way up the road some of those Albion boys heard the shots, came runnin’ down right quick… and- s~t” Walker took off the headphones and kept her head down.
”Them goons didn’t even get enough of what they f~kin’ deserved. My Gran kinda looked after me after that… I took care of her. She took care of me… life was somewhat getting back. Then. 20. She… heart attack” Walker stood and took a few steps
”By twenty one… I guess I was f~ked if I didn’t get a job. And… albion was the easiest thing for me… up until like, July last year.”
Another stranger came into the room and Walker cleared her throat, putting her glasses back on and looking at barnaby.
”can we keep this between us for the time being, please…” She whispered, checking her phone and keeping her face pointed downwards
Low had found the place the ai in the phone had told him to meet, he was worried he might end up face down in the wrong basement somewhere but he eventually found the spot. He almost gave up until he heard music he stumbled upon two people…..

The young woman immediately replied to his question. She took off the headphones and walked over to his table. He vaguely heard the music coming from the headphones. He wasn't at all surprised he didn't recognize it. There were certain things in life where his age came into play. This was one of those things. He focused his attention back to the pink-haired woman. She had quite a tale to tell. She had been through way too much at her age. The expression on her face clearly showed that life had left its painful mark on her soul. She took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes. For a moment, she seemed a vulnerable little girl instead of the self-made power woman he had encountered when he walked in here.
Though slightly surprised she had opened up to him without even knowing him, Barnaby felt honored she did. Apparently, she felt safe enough to share this personal story. However, before she could finish it, they got interrupted by the entrance of a man. He was dressed in dark clothes and had a slightly worried look on his face, as if he wasn't sure he was at the right place. The girl Walker softly asked Barnaby to keep her story a secret and attended to her phone. He nodded in agreement and turned his attention to the newcomer. 'Hey there, buddy,' he called out to him. 'You look a tiny bit lost, so you must be at the right place. I had the same when I entered here. Still do actually.' He got up and slowly walked towards the man, holding out his hand. 'The name's Barnaby, and this young lady here goes by the name of Walker. Welcome to our fate.'
Low shook the man’s hand firmly ”glad to see others would have hated to have to lone wolf this thing” he said sarcastically he eyes darted to the woman she’s real good looking he thought to himself, He wasn’t sure what kind of music was playing but he hated it. He took a seat nearby. “ so what’s the next move?”

“Y’Alright…” Walker looked up slightly and nodded, before waving “He knows my name cuz. Now you do too. Just don’t…”
She coughed ”don’t wear it out”
”right. Now that there’s some of you are here, at least. Things should be ready to start up. I’ll get Sabine on the Line. If you’ll all come downstairs?” Bagley asked
”Cuz. There’s a downstairs?” Walker looked up.
”Yes. Just use the back room, then pull the handle down on the radiator. when you three are in, I’ll close the door behind you.” Bagley replied.
”Alright then fam…” Walker nodded and moseyed into the backroom. Trying to keep her head down and stop herself from getting emotional.
”Just because it’s you lot and it’s been a while since anyone has been down here. Here. Let me get the door” The wall panel moved back, then slid right. Afterwards a bulky, metallic door was shown. Behind it, an old metro stop.
”Repurposed and refitted by the original DedSec team who operated out here. This place will be your new home. As of which, feel free to make your own personal space in the subway cart. All completely safe. This old tunnel was blocked off back in the 90s because this station wasn’t bringing in many travellers. So all of this is kept off the books. Doesn’t even exist. To the government, this place has been filled with cement and as mentioned before, doesn’t exist. So. As long as nobody unwanted finds out of this place, you should all be safe” Bagley mentioned
”Alright Bags. Sick. Oh. And song change. This is a bit of an old one but it’s good. Cardigan by Taylor Swift.” Walker sighed
“The thing that keeps me going back…” She whispered.
”The door is always open for you two. Not like we have all night though.” Bagley joked, speaking to the two who were still upstairs

Barnaby noticed that the man opposite him was distracted by the woman while he introduced himself. From what he could see, it was a friendly interest and not a professional one. He grinned. He could very well imagine she was a whole lot more interesting to look at than himself. He subtly scraped his throat. 'Nice to meet you, Mr...' he replied to the man, a clear question mark ending his sentence. Before the man could reply, the distinct AI voice of Bagley interrupted, giving them orders to go to the basement.
Barnaby raised an eyebrow. 'Downstairs? A basement in a basement? Interesting.' he thought. He watched the woman take the lead, following Bagley's instructions to enter the backroom. Her appearance and stance, which had changed after their introduction, still looked unnatural to him. She held her head low, defensive maybe, or perhaps not willing to show her true state of mind. In either case, it seemed unlike her, at least for as far as he could guess. Something was obviously bugging her. He shrugged. If she wanted to open up, she'd probably do so when she was ready. And if not, well, that would be fine too.
The sound of a sliding door brought Barnaby back to reality. Somewhat at least. He half heard Bagley saying something about an abandoned subway station and making home, but it didn't really connect with his consciousness. He still hadn't figured out why he, of all people, was recruited to be part of DedSec. Sure, he was one of the best locksmiths in the country, if not THE best, but that hardly qualified him as a member of DedSec. Yes, he could pick any lock, which probably was a big plus, and yes, he could move virtually unseen. Despite those skills, he had never been involved in anything even remotely resembling the work he would do as a member of DedSec. Yet, he was supposed to leave his home to join them. Not that he left anything behind. He had no family, and his business had been closed years ago. Luckily, he had saved up enough money to live independently, allowing him to hone and perfect his skills.
Barnaby sighed. He had walked this thought loop a thousand times the past days, but he had never found the answer as to why DedSec would be interested in his services. At least not yet. Surely, there were many others with similar skills who were way more suitable for whatever job they had in mind for him. It just didn't make sense to him. The now jokingly jolly voice of Bagley, more or less urging him and the other man to go on in, broke his train of thought. He glanced at the man next to him and followed Walker into the subway station, their intended new home.
Low followed the other man into the sub basement, the man had the confidence and swagger like a thief but, that wasn’t quite right he thought to himself. His dexterous hands implied he picks locks. Maybe he’s a locksmith. His professional attitude would certainly accept that theory. Low followed behind observing the man analyzing his walk, way he talks. And the way he presents himself. Guess being a cop these years makes him look at people differently. This certainly was a change a pace, he only accepted deadsecs offer because he wanted to save lives and kill the bad guys. It sounded childish when he thought of it like that but it was a simple goal. Problem was with this team of people he had a feeling the lines between good and bad might get blurry.

Only when he entered the old subway station Barnaby started to realize what he had gotten himself into. He stood in the hall of a full sized subwaystation, which was adequately transformed into a state of the art home base. Not only that, the setup also included a fully refurbished subway car designed to serve as a more or less permanent accommodation. Truly a home away from home, and one only a powerful, heavily funded organization could provide. One that would recrute only the best and expected them to give more than their all. In a way, he felt honored to be one of the chosen few, but he still wondered what, or perhaps who, led them to him. And furthermore, what in the world it was they believed he could contribute to their cause. He was sure he'd find out soon enough, though.
Once he had taken all of his surroundings in, Barnaby causally walked around the premises. It seemed that whoever had designed this had built in every single available piece of technology. Most were absolutely meaningless to him, but he knew this section wasn't really meant for him anyway. Although he knew his way around a computer, he used a specially designed one to pick certain locks, his skills and expertise were not in this particular field.
Once he had satisfied his curiosity, Barnaby first turned to the other man who had joined in this peculiar adventure. Finding a personal space in the subway car was not his concern just yet. He didn't need a lot of luxury. When needed, he could sleep just about everywhere, one of the much appreciated bonuses from his countless survival trips. He thought it much more important to get to know his team mates, considering it might very well be that his life would depend on them someday. He noticed the man was very alert. His sharp look seemed to catch every single detail of his surroundings, a treat usually found in special forces or law enforcement. 'I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name earlier,' he said with a hint of a smile. 'and since I assume we're going to be working together quite a bit, we might as well get acquainted. How may I address you?'

[image: media.discordapp.net] {soz the saturation is kinda horrid. But this is pretty much what the train carts look like in the game. There’s only one but for this RP I’ll switch it up and say there’s like. 7. At most tho}
“Hey bags. Nice places here. Who did you say remade these carts?”
“the original team. Well. Sabine’s original team. they all kind of just stumbled on this place and when they all set up, they started to make me. well. Me as you now know. The modified me” Bagley switched on some of the different lights scattered around the carts.
”You certainly talk a lot don’t you.” Walker commented
”yes, and, back when Sabine and a few of the original members managed to flee, before those bombs that happened a few weeks back. I’m assuming the attackers ransacked and took everything. Sabine came back and switched me on a few days ago. And cleaned up too. But. As you can see. There’s not many personal mementos scattered around. So. Unless it was Sabine moving it all before I came back. Then. I don’t know where its all gone” Bagley then switched on a speaker
”To you two as well. Choose a cart. You’ll have to buy or bring your own personal items. But when you’re done bickering about who gets where. I’d suggest getting some sleep. In the morning i’ll try to wake you all up and put you on call to the woman that brought you all together”
”Alright then Bags. DIBS THE SECOND CART! The first one is a communal kitchen anyway” Walker yelled, before quickly going into the second cart and closing the door. Then reopening it. “I’m hungry. Anyone wanna make some food or shall we get some takeaway?”
Low shook Barnabys hand “We’ll I suppose you can call me detective or candella, good to meet you, to be fair however I was only promoted to detective for a day before well. Everything went to shit. I don’t know about you but I’m going to snag that train car at the very end there and get settled in.” He said in a no non sense manner After getting settled in about 20 minutes later, he heard Walker yell, she was hungry. ”yeah yeah I’ll see what we got” he yelled back He made his way to the kitchen and rummaged around found a good thing of steak, some leftover noodles and a bunch of other things quickly got to preparing stirfry, letting the water boil the noodles first once it started to boil he put the steak on and started chopping vegetables and when everything was said and done he added everything together, seasoned it found what little soy sauce they had left, put it on the counter and looked at a job well done. “Foods done walker!” He yelled out loud and returned ti his room to take a well deserved nap he used ti cook all the time for the squad back home and got really good at it. Of course the guys would always tease him about not being married yet because he was good at cooking but that’s nothing a well deserved comeback could solve. Ah the good old days he thought to himself before drifting off to sleep

The man opposite Barnaby shook the invitingly held out hand and introduced himself as detective, for a day, or Candela. 'Interesting options,' he replied. He was intrigued as to the man's reason for switching from law enforcement to the other side, but he wasn't about to inquire at this point. 'I'm going to go with Candela for now. Nice to meet you.' The conversation ended abruptly when Candela claimed the last in the line of subway cars to be his. Barnaby shrugged. He didn't really care for either of the cars, as neither of them offered a strategic advantage over any of the others. 'Alright,' he said. 'I'll take the third one then.' Not that anyone had heard him, Walker had already retreated to her car earlier, the second one in line, as had Candela. He heard a soft snicker coming from Bagley, followed by a rather sarcastic 'I'm glad your eloquence didn't go unnoticed, mister.'
Barnaby smiled widely and walked towards his new home. From the outside, it looked like an ordinary subway car. Not surprising, considering it once actually was one. There was nothing to indicate what could be inside. He pulled the sliding door, located in the middle of the car, back and entered. To his surprise, the car turned out to be fully furnished. To his left, there was the sitting area with the original red faux leather booths still intact. A desk with a computer and various storage spaces, including a small safe, completed the living half of the car. To his right was the sleeping area, divided into two sections. Right next to the sliding door was a sober bathroom, and the head of the car was furnished as a bedroom, dominated by decent sized, comfortable twin beds. It wasn't exactly the Hilton, but it would most definitely suffice. Heck, it was more luxurious than his own home.
Barnaby pulled the few possessions he brought along from his backpack and stored them all, except for one item. His custom-made small tool pack, which contained the specialist tools he had developed and perfected himself. That precious, valuable package never went further from his hands than a foot. He attached the pack to his belt using the specially designed click-lock that allowed for quick access. He then sat down, closed his eyes, and allowed the impressions he had met so far to sink in. After a short while, he was rudely pulled back into reality by his two new colleagues, who were yelling something about eating. Obeying the growl in his stomach, he got up and followed the delicious smell into the kitchen. He sure could use a bite at the moment.

“F~kin’ Minted mate!” Walker went into the kitchen cart and took a plate of the food
“Y’alright” Walker nodded to Barnaby as she put it back down.
”Vegetarian, right?” She yelled, asking The other stranger
She looked at the food and probed it with a fork and moved some of it around the plate ”F~k it. There’s some exceptions sometimes…”
Walker then picked the food up and retreated back to her cart. She tried to avoid being social because she didn’t exactly know how to properly speak to someone. “Thank you!”
The only times she really spoke before hand was to her contractor during an assignment, or some points when she took orders during her Albion days.
Nothing was said by her until half an hour later when she’d come out and put the empty plate onto the kitchen counter.
”A’right I’m going over to the shop in a minute. Anyone want anything specific or? Oh. And that food was bare leng. Thanks!” She shouted, waiting for any responses.
