This has already been suggested multiple times. Probably a few pages back but still better off using (bumping) one of the threads that already has an established rating instead of starting over.

I tried to use the search to find another post about it, but couldn't find one. Might be that the search isn't very good then.

Forum searching is trash. There's a suggestion for improving that as well. You should be able to find it by limiting the search to the suggestions forums and searching "clothing" though

Not only has it been suggested, it's been responded to.

Essentially the response was that if you want to look cool in your outfit, the sacrifice is not wearing armour, and vice versa.
Elizabeth [2339829]
So here's the thing, that's not my response, that's Ched's response. And no, it's not a "solution" because it's not a problem. I personally think it makes sense to keep it this way because, yes, if you want the benefit of looking cool from your outfit, the sacrifice both in game and irl would be not wearing armour (or just, y'know, wearing cooler armour). Besides, aside from the elite armours from caches, most armours effectiveness pales in comparison to battlestats. If you want to wear cool clothing and not die, pump those stats.

I agree with Ched's response. This is why you don't see actual soldiers/mercenaries/fighters wear cute maid outfits while on duty. Just fatigues and armour.
Nimona [2176698]
It's a game, not real life. Every other game that has costumes allows you to show that while still wearing armour. "Ched's response" is wrong in my opinion. Just because someone is in power doesn't mean you have to agree with them like zealots.

Also, the fact that this has been brought up before and the like to dislike ratio on this post, more people want this change than don't. Even if that's not true, why does it matter? If you don't want this change, then this change will not affect you in any way. Just keep the options toggled off and boom, the game is the same as now. So why would you want to ruin this for other people?
Elizabeth [2339829]
It sure is a game. And the owner of the game has decided to not implement this. Pointing out that "more people want it than don't" means very little. The fact it's been responded to in the past already shows that, as 250 positive karma is generally needed for that. It's already clear that people want it, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen. The only time I've ever seen a suggestion get that high twice and get implemented the second time is that purple and yellow icon you have, and I'm highly doubtful it'll happen again. If you don't like the decision Ched has made, fine, but insisting on a change that has been rejected on the basis of "why does it even matter" is a good way to keep it from happening altogether. And if it means that much to you, you are more than welcome to make your own game with your own design where you make those decisions.

This will be the last time I reply to you. You are adding nothing to this and not helping in the slightest. The exact opposite in fact.
Just remember, this is the suggestion forum. I am making a suggestion. If you don't like it, report me. That is all. Was nice chatting with you. Ignored now.
