So it's official, DeSantis is running for President.

Democrats have been comparing Republican Presidents and candidates to Hitler since the Reagan years. With Trump, we seen a person who was once beloved by Democrats, become all the Nazi bad things overnight when he announced his candidacy for 2016.

But now Democrats are claiming that DeSantis is worse than Trump, and just possibly worse than Hitler himself. So much, that the DNC has issued a safety warning to all LGBTQ and POCs that traveling to Florida or even living there may put their lives in danger.

He has no shot at winning but it will be entertaining to watch him and Trump sling mud at each other.

De Santis is better at using institutional power, allowing for stuff like his book bans and controlling what classes can be taught in Florida colleges. Trump doesn't have the attention span for such things.

Trump is definitely more dangerous because of how erratic he is, his obsequiousness to Putin and other authoritarians, and his willingness to use violence to stay in power.

Rob has the charisma of a stump, so the idea he can beat Trump in a primary is pretty ludicrous. No one in the GOP has the balls to actually criticize Trump either or the willingness to rally behind a single alternative.

Fingers crossed we het a de Santis nomination and then Trump's runs as a third party candidate.

I'd consider them equally abhorrent choices.

I can’t wait until one of these egocentric morons loses the primary and causes chaos within Republican ranks. If the proper stars align, DeSantis wins and Trumps fragile ego won’t take it lying down. He’ll run some batshit third party- one he probably makes up on the spot- and splits the vote.

Either way Gen Z is voting now and they’re the most politically active generation in, well, generations. Thanks in no small part to GOP shenanigans post-2016 and especially after the Roe debacle.

Though, I doubt it matters, as Trump has a lock on his base. I don't see him being able to swing many to him. I'm sure those two will sling plenty of mud, but Trump will come out of that exchange pretty much unharmed.
