Hey all! I was wondering if its worth alternating routes for flowers to create sets was profitable. So I applied my crap knowledge of maths to something I've just scratched the surface of...

Just a quick thanks to Torn Stats for giving me the numbers to work with.

Flowers Maths:

So at the moment Cherry flowers seem to make the most but it fluctuates (these numbers were just snapshots of the market)
Country Time Purchase Market Profit P/M/U
Cherry Japan 158 500 $68,929 $68,429 $216.55
Peony China 169 5,000 $76,932 $71,932 $212.82
Ceibo Argentina 117 500 $45,134 $44,634 $190.74
Tribulus UAE 190 6,000 $78,265 $72,265 $190.17
Heather United Kingdom 111 5,000 $47,137 $42,137 $189.81
African South Africa 208 2,000 $70,407 $68,407 $164.44
Orchid Hawaii 94 700 $28,224 $27,524 $146.40
Banana Cayman Islands 25 4,000 $11,112 $7,112 $142.24
Crocus Canada 29 600 $7,898 $7,298 $125.83
Dahlia Mexico 18 300 $2,406 $2,106 $58.50
Edelweiss Switzerland 123 900 $5,713 $4,813 $19.57
It makes ~$216 per minute per unit per minute which is solid bucks but can we get it higher?

Points conversion:
Cost Time Points Value Net Profit P/M/U
25500 1242 10 45190 451900 426400 171.31
If you run all the routes you actually make less than the most profitable route however it does sit above South Africa.

Therefore it's not as profitable to buy for points but just bulk sole flying Japan.

Thanks all!

Your calculations seem a bit off.

Using Cherry as an example, you're estimating profit of $68,429 based on a 158 minute trip. You did factor in the return trip in this calculation, so you've divided the profit by twice the travel time to get a figure of $216.55.

You didn't factor in the return trips for the points conversion profit, so the figure of $343.32 should be $171.66.

Even if building sets is more profitable, it would actually make more sense to;
1. fly to the highest profit per minute place
2. come back and sell your flowers/plushies
3. buy the missing flowers/plushies
4. repeat

Right?

Nice guide r+ from me.

If I can add a small note for players that might not be aware, the most profitable items for import will change as market values fluctuate.

Apps like Torn PDA (and others) track this and will show profit/ hour for all travel destinations.

Most people avoid long flights cause you have to use up e to attack to not waste e which could've been used at the gym. That's something to consider too!
