I think that it would be awesome if we could see our level progression like we do in crimes 2.0.
This would really help, especially with the brand new in to the box newbies. Lol
Uh, this is already a thing. Have you never flown to china?
There is a company bonus, I believe the candle shop, that shows this. Alternatively, you can fly to china and use the fortune teller for 75k who will tell you what percentage of the way you are to the next level.
EDIT -
Thanks to
who pointed out that its the game shop and not the candle shop that displays level progress. Candle shop displays true level in event of level holding.

Very close. China and the Game Shop special should show progress to next level. Candle shop shows true level, in case someone is level holding
Besides that would it not be better for people to be able to see it without having to travel to china. Just for that, it's pretty strange that you have to pay or find a candle shop to see your own leveling progress.
Any other game a person would tend to play has a xp bar or leveling status from the beginning for the players to see how far they are progressing . They are showing it in crimes 2.0 for free.
When I started playing Torn. I really wished that I would be able to see my leveling progress. I just think that there are a couple of other people that may feel the same way about this suggestion forum.
Let's see where it takes us.
Thank you for participating
If you were to learn a new skill irl, would you, as a beginner, have any way of just knowing how skilled you are or how close you are to being considered skilled? No, of course not. Kinda the same thing. You know when you succeed, sure, but you have no way of knowing how close you are to greatness until you're already there.
Thank you Elizabeth for being a part of this.
Crime level is a little bit different. That was a massive complaint of the old system. The inability to see ones crime level, and the absolutely insane amount of crimes required to raise that level. IIRC, its like 50k arson crimes, taking some 550,000 nerve at one of the higher NNB levels, and thats assuming you dont do merit hunting, which requires you to do crimes with high fail rates.
Leveling, while an important aspect of this game, means surprisingly little in the long term. The only time the extra health comes into play is when you are fighting people very very close to your stats who also have the same stats to counter yours. (If you have high dex but they have high speed, and both of you have the same str/def). Most fights I find are washouts in one direction. Youre either the dildo, or the asshole. It also makes getting that level up screen feel great. Assuming youre not level holding anyway.
Makes sense
