[Userscript] Gimme Smokes

On popular demand, I present you all Gimme Smokes.

What does it do?
When you are in South Africa, it will add a button at the top where the message of "You are in South Africa......." is displayed, but only if Smoke Grenades are in stock, if they are not the button will not be shown.
Clicking on that button will buy the maximum amount of smoke grenades possible. (Depending upon max capacity, available stock, money on hand etc)

Is it legal?
An understandable question. Due care have been taken to ensure that no rule is violated. There are no automated refreshes or automated non-api requests. The request for buying Smoke Grenades is only triggered if user clicks on button and only one request is sent per one click, which is allowed and is also used for features like Quick Crimes, No Confirm Buy etc features by some popular tool. But still users are more than free to seek opinion of staff on it.

Note:

• You will still have to manually refresh the page to see if the stock is available or not, this script will not do that for you.

• All it does is buy the maximum amount of Smoke Grenades possible when you click on the button. It will not make any automated requests or refreshes.

• Script has not been tested thoroughly because well it is difficult since Smokes are rarely in stock, so minor bugs might be there.

• You need Tampermonkey in your browser to use it.

I mean, it could always show the button, couldn't it? Gimme beers does that, the button is always shown, even if there's no beers.

It could but seeing the button is an easy indicator to know if Smokes are available. Besides having the button if stock is not available, would serve no purpose.

It would, since you could spam it and get the smokes once they become available. That is the whole point of gimme beers - you spam right before it restocks and don't need to refresh the page and miss it.

The difference is that with beers, you know exactly when they are gonna appear - at the 15 minute mark, so you start spamming at xx:xx:00.
With foreign stock, you never know, so people would be just sitting there spamming the button - that's a lot of unnecessary requests.

yes same thing here, you would be able to do that if the button was always up - but since you have to have stock first, it’s basically just cutting out the step where you manually locate the item, put in the number, and click buy

you still have to refresh, so not as good as the beers one where you can click faster

Guess what, the smokes also restock at 15 min marks, can just try spamming it on every 15 min mark? Till we give up i guess.

Isn't foreign stock restock dependent on how fast they were sold out?

Technically, yes. From what I've been told, an item restocks in roughly half the amount of time it took to sell out on the most recent occasion, however, the actual restock doesn't occur until the first 15-minute mark AFTER the restock time.

For example, if smoke grenades are due to restock at 17:31, they won't reappear on-screen/be available to buy until 17:45*.




* ASSUMING, of course, that what I've been told is accurate.... XD

I've heard that too but in my experience it's not 100% accurate. For most things it's a pretty good gauge but for a while when smokes were worth 300k they sold out instantly and still weren't restocked for several hours. My 1st thought is that maybe different items have different refresh periods but idk.

Smoke Grenades used to only restock 100 at a time, it was just after they shot up to 300k+ recently that they increased the amount to several thousand (I've seen them as high as ~3,000 just after they restocked but, I'm certain several had been bought already). It could be, that they did restock a few times but, those using scripts like this one siphoned them off before the page even reloaded? :-/

How did you get it to recognise the shop overseas? I'm trying to make one for my own imports but I can't get the shop area code for the overseas shops
