This has been a question of mine as well. It seems like it would be easier to expand and actually build in a way we already know than to have folks floating around, hoping their ropes don't break or drop a tool. I'm sure it would cost more since we will have to go farther out, but it seems like a better more stable option.

You make a good point. We should not be judging someone based on a photo - photographers can take 100 photos a seconds and can always find one that makes you look foolish.

How do you feel about Travis Walton & his story? There's not any evidence to back up their claims. Only the testimony of Him & the others who supposedly saw it. But apparently, they did pass polygraph tests.

I am under the firm-ish position that aliens have not visited earth. Through all of these incidents, not a single one can produce a single piece of evidence. A scratch with alien skin cells under the nails, a even close to clear photo. Nearly 100 years of abduction stories, nothing.

BUT

I don't buy the scientists claim that "space is too big", and "no way a species could achieve X technology before us".

We know f**k all about space and energy/quantum physics. We have less than 3 generations of humans that even know what electricity is. We can't even see over 60% of the universe given where we are at in our galaxy. We have been collecting light from distant galaxies a fraction, of a fraction, of a fraction, of a fraction, of a fraction of how long other galaxies have existed.

60 years ago, our mobile phones would have been science fiction. Less than 30 years ago, we produced the math for "worm holes", and it freaking works. Literally our only thing holding us back from most things we consider "science fiction", is energy production, energy storage, and materials science (politics, racism, elitism, and other small-minded topics aside).

I also find it highly suspicious our technology gains between 1930 and 1970. If we compare just those 40 years to the entire history of mankind, there isn't a greater technological leap recorded.

With your story though, Lie detectors can easily be passed. Another division of the company I work for has a 2 day workshop for certain positions that is literally 'beating lie detection technologies, practice, and review of chemical positions'. The us government has been teaching people how to beat traditional lie detectors for the better part of 60 years. Hell, even some people have been caught training federal applicants how to.

Now lets take all of our current understanding of macro and quantum physics. Take our political climate across the globe. Fascist and blanketed-fascist World leaders using military tech, religion, etc to try to quash some free people for resources. USA even, playing world police. Take how the biggest religion thinks the world is 6000 years old and humans were hand crafted by some omni-potent thing.

If an alien species crash landed on earth, or was caught being here, the technology, its very existence would upset each of those pillars of our current society on earth. Everything written in every religious text is debunked (no matter how the religions try to twist their stories to take in the new information). Our scientific understanding changes. Global politics would go haywire.

But, the technology...would it give a world power an edge? Would we even be able to harness it? Meaning, would it be like a 1300's knight looking at a mobile phone, completely incapable of understanding how it works, incapable of producing power for it, incapable of manufacturing literally any piece on it? Probably hurting themselves, when they puncture the battery and start a fire?

Or would it be a mix? Like giving a 1300's knight a bullet proof vest, where they could probably figure out its an item to be worn, it provides protection, but they don't know how to make it, recreate it, etc.

A very very very small part of me hopes there are aliens that have crash landed, and we are sourcing tech from them, and have a somewhat friendly relationship with them. That means so many good things for the future of humanity, and could provide a way for us to survive us destroying our own planet. Hell, that even means that the major governments have come together in support of hiding and gaining function from these aliens.

Though, I am still in the "highly skeptical" crowd. This all would mean, the US govt which has proven it's ineptitude at keeping secrets, has kept the greatest secret of mankind, for nearly 100 years, along with other world governments, and not one single person in 90 years has ever, ever brought actual proof forward. Not one. We have pictures of inside the Manhattan Project. We had photos of our most secret program for aircraft technology leaked in less than 2 years. Other governments have switched 15 times in 90 years, yet this info stayed secret through all of it?

Excuse me while I put on my doubt face.

I want evidence. A piece of spacecraft that is recognizably alien. A language/words/art/something about their society. A body/part. A verified video of interaction. Verified data of some energy output device. Someone confessing "Yes, I was there at this site in year XXXX, we initiated contact with X, here is a transcript from that date, with the aliens, that our language scientists have been using to build our version of their language to better communicate with them."

If what mr Grusch, and bob lazar claims is true, then our government very much would have responded with trying to understand them. And should have history, research, progress, of it all. Not only with language, but any technology from crashed ships. Any biology gains from research on their bodies. It seems implausible to me that the governments of the world have been releasing tech gains from secret research on aliens, while keeping it secret, without any leaks of evidence, for almost a century.

There is exactly as much solid, you can touch it proof that aliens exist as there is that God exists. To the average world citizen anyway. If you throw in circumstantial evidence, alien existence wins in a landslide shut-out.

I must admit that I’m disappointed and underwhelmed.

Yea, many contractors that have Security arms will have those. It's in case the security team (usually helps protect things, not para-military ops like the CIA does) gets captured for whatever reason, or if we are hired to test the security of a company (again that division, not one I work for), then we might try to get someone hired. Many tech/govt whatever/bio/etc have lie detectors for certain positions in some countries.

Its why traditional lie detectors are bogus. its just measuring body response. The deeper veins of the government, and well off contractors for the CIA, all use the more recent stuff that measures brainwaves. They know exactly the form waves of established information, and one that uses an entirely different region of the brain. Thats been out now in some public form for better part of 2 decades probably. It's unbeatable.

But the whole thing is, in only specific scenarios is detecting a lie valuable. It is much more valuable and much harder to get information needed, and 95% of the NSA and CIA is getting information. Hell half the CIA ops that went bad publicly, went bad in an attempt to get information.

Fair enough. But as the story goes. They weren't government agents or employees... They were just some Good ol' boys cutting trees in the woods on a forestry contract. Back in 75, I'm sure methods & research into passing a polygraph weren't nearly as in-depth as it is today.

As far as physical evidence goes. We'd all like to see that. But if in fact, the government does have any physical evidence, well as you've already indicated. they're not about to hand it over & take the veil off the Schrade. I've watched a few documentaries on Bob Lazar. I was also intrigued By Phil Schneider. & his claims on the underground Bases In Dulce NM. While his claims do seem like something out of a sci-fi flick. His mysterious death in 96. (being strangled I believe by a rope or cord) does make me think he was onto something or possibly telling things certain people or agencies possibly didn't want to be told publicly.

The Varginha UFO incident involves a series of events in 1996 when residents of Varginha, Brazil claimed seeing one or more strange creatures and at least one unidentified flying object (UFO).

Other associated claims include the capture of one or more extraterrestrial beings by the Brazilian authorities, animal fatalities at a zoo, and a woman impregnated by an extraterrestrial.

The reports have garnered extensive media coverage.

Overview

According to media reports, a creature was sighted on the afternoon of January 20, 1996, by three women ranging from 14 to 22 years old.

The women described the creature as a large-headed biped with "spots like veins on the skin and some bumps on the head [...] eyes were two red balls."
