Think of bootlegging and graffiti having a baby in the shop district. You pick pockets, shoplift and eventually set up skimmers to generate passive income. Just an idea based off card scanner injection.
I'd be willing to bet $100m that the crime we get today won't be called "Shoplifting" - I think it will have a shoplifting element, but I don't think it will be a like for like update to the old 4n crime.

we have currently theft, counterfeiting and vandalism. i think today we'll get a new one, so it won't be shoplifting in my opinion.

Maybe shopliftted items from big al’s gun shop will be profitable or if it will be possible to get more expensive candies from Sally’s sweet shop. We’ll see very soon!
