A song about the end of the Civil War in the US. As Richmond fell, Confederates retreated and burned storehouses and armories as they evacuated. The Powder Magazine exploded and laid waste to much that wasn’t intentionally burned.

President Lincoln toured the devastation on foot on April 4. Robert E Lee surrendered on April 9, and before the week was done Lincoln would be shot dead on Good Friday the 14th as Booth shouted ‘sic semper tyranni’
