There are people who have legal advantages such as GAKs and hazmats, which are only shared among certain members of a faction, close friends etc. This benefits them in EVENTS and lots of other areas compared to non-owners of these items (people who don’t know how to make money despite wanting to) making it not a regular competition bur rather a networth competition!
Majority of us has no clue on how to make money. I want to be equal with majority of HoFs, but I just don’t know how despite me wanting to be equal with them. Those who make the money share it only with a select few, offering these advantages only to people they want to help!
HEREBY, to add fairness to the game, I PROPOSE that all rare and expensive items to be provided in a shared armory for all to use. ANY item that is not available for me to borrow, will be classified as ILLEGAL. People who are caught using items that are not available for me to borrow BUT maintain torn rules, will get banned for 7d to begin with (repetitive offenses increased like multi accounts offences)
Now majority of rich players will say: why should I waste my time to make money to buy items and give it for free for it to become legal? The answer is simple: so the game is equal to everyone, and if you don’t want it to be equal, don’t make money at all in the first place (and you won’t have to waste your time)!
Edit: I remember a long time ago you asked me for a method to buy quicker on blackfriday. And then the first thing you did after i gave it (for free to you), was report it. (i didnt actually break rules, so nothing happened, but... i rather burn it all then give you any of them again :P if the poll had everyone but dark, then perhaps

I'm saying the workaround around people who don't want to comply with the OP, is that people could post their faction scripts behind T&U and then paywall all the scripts to 100 million just to even access the script, similar to the 40 million rank war sheet.
Ever since I have left behind my edge-lord phase, I have grown up to be very tolerant of other people's opinions. But holy shit.
1) A piece of code is just like any other intellectual property. It takes mental and physical effort and devotion of time to create one. Programming is a field which also needs experience, practice and effort. You are not entitled to fruit of anyone's labour.
Lets talk about Taylor Swift. She puts effort and makes her music, which she uses it to earn money. Her Concert Tickets are notoriously hard to get and expensive. Should the government force her to give free concert to everyone, so that people that cannot afford tickets could also enjoy the concert?
If Taylor Swift desires, she could perform for charity or for free, but can you force her to do so?
2) Uneven playfield: Is everyone in the world born rich? Was every current player was able to use pre-nerf Busting for massive CE gains? Was every current torn player able to made billions from stocks before volatility "downgrade"? NO. There will always be uneven playground. The inequality in question is not because of some people violating rules. But because of some people using their real life skills and ingenuity to make things easier for themselves and their friends. What is wrong with that?
3) Why don't you be the change that you are trying to bring and post all in-house scripts, tools and guides that belong to CR/crypto family?
I do not know why people feel so entitled these days.
Although I understand your point and get where you're coming from, I do believe that in Torn we're all 'characters' or 'players' within the world and framework of Torn City. I don't believe it's doing the game any good if our 'real life' skills are being rewarded with 'fake world money'. If you're a graphic designer and like designing banners for players or factions: great. If you're a graphic designer and want to make Torn dollars by designing faction banners? Wrong world. Same for scripts. If you like coding and want to make scripts: by all means do so. But asking Torn dollars for your real world skills? I think that's not in the best interest of the game and the player community. The game works perfectly fine without the use of scripts, so if nobody wants to spend time on scripts if they're not getting paid for it, everything will be perfectly fine.
I definitely think that there should be a Staff/game approved list of scripts that can be freely used by everyone.
They could be submitted by players and licenced to the game for some yearly DPs or something.
Anything written and not approved in this way should be banned. If unknown custom scripts are used, sold or traded for use then the sellers/makers should be fedded for a reasonable time and the benefits removed from accounts.
Scripts develop so quickly and have such a huge effect on the game that, by the time something has been declared illegal the damage will already have been done.
Some Scripts are specifically written to subvert the mechanics of the game and profit certain users at the expense of the majority of the player base.
I expect that they're hard to track and hard to stop until their use becomes blatant.
Making scripts freely available is logical. If people don't want their scripts seen by staff or widely used I'd wonder what was in them.
I think other people should do the hard work of learning to code, learning to implement scripts on browsers, come up with great ideas, refine those designs over and over, resolve the bugs, and all while making it look good.
Then I think they should be forced to share their work with those of us who have done absolutely nothing.
Furthermore... - anyone outside of this socialistic philosophy should have their work considered illegal - and my way of thinking should be called "fair" and "equality" and so on
What would be the difference between a number of players buying your scripts from you and the game itself buying your scripts from you for everyone to use gratis?
You would still get reimbursed for your efforts surely?
The only people losing out would be the makers and buyers of dodgy scripts that Jack profitable elements of the game for the few players who could or would buy them.
Hypothetically If your scripts were licensed to the game, would you not still have those opportunities? (Not sure where you're at with exclusivity...they'd be exclusive to Torn.)
Every script you write has a dependency on a server, charge an astronomical fee to provide an authentication code - Continue giving codes to people you want to.
People advocating for this are the same people screaming at the top of their lungs that they're entitled to YOUR labour for whatever THEY deem fair (In this case, free)
A lot of script features definitely should be packaged into the game itself, but it's still incredibly stupid to suggest that every script be made available and free for everybody.

Pfft...
Why has this image been photoshopped?
We all know they'd only be one person in that room...
I agree in principle, but the concept is absolutely unenforceable. There's no way for servers to know what the clients are doing.
Plus - torn as a game is 100% behind the rich and strong dominating the weak and poor.
The fun lies in beating the odds and crawling up the ladder, earning your place among the exalted.
Scripts are just another part of that, although I do empathize if you're not technically minded and have a hard time understanding how to make and/or buy them.
I would love tho, but I'm also afraid of scripts ruining the game. If everyone puts their scripts open to the public, and everyone can download it, won't torn become a script making simulator? Everyone in war being able to do whatever you do in war withing half a second and such things. I'm not saying it's a bad idea to make them public, but isn't this also a possibility?
