Good morning!

As we prepare for ranked war, I notice a lot of what war leaders say get's lost in the chatter. While a simple solution would be for everyone to just shut their yaps, it takes away a fun social and community element if we were to.

My thought was a secondary faction chat that leadership can give permissions for who is allowed to post in it. That way instructions for wars, special events, on the fly announcements can be delivered efficiently, and without the hassle of doing a mail out to everyone. You know how much we hate having to click on things.

I feel this would add another level of accessible strategy, because not everyone uses discord, and a lot of folks play on mobile or maybe even graphing calculators. I don't know what the kids use these days.

Cheers, and thank you for hearing me out <333

Very nice suggestion!

Also please add ability to open chat with multiple people. Why? For better coordination with faction mates in wars.

Small teams (2-3 people) are very effective against tougher opponent, but you need isolated social channel for that.

Torn City is great, make it even greater by adding this one thing that uncoordinated people hate.

Supposedly something like this is in the works. Or more so a chat rework/major update that will include the ability to set up group chats. This info came from regular players, so could be bullshit. All though I have seen in the announcements under developer focus, chat 2.0 pop up occasionally, so I guess we'll see.

Since no ones chatting, it's not a chat.

We already have something like that. The ticker up, faction leaders can change it and give orders. (Plus faction main page and mails.) It even changes color to Bolden it.

Already so many things people dont read, why add more for them to disable?

I think it wouldn't be the worst idea to have an option avaliable to simply add an additional person to a chat regardless of war, leadership or faction. Sometimes you just wanna bs with your friends without having to swap in and out of discord, or have it open on the side window for those with pcs. It's a nice thought to not have to go through another media or faction only chat [ or worse global, no offense global, but we all know 1$ bounties are ...] just because I wanna talk to two or 3 people at once.

I think this is also a good point, however, the problem is that it is faction leader controled, wat if non leaders can step up?. Some factions can have people that aren't leaders in faction also capable of making small organized desicions when the leaders aren't on. Granted I would expect the most elite and pro factions to have there chit together so that this would be all they really need, but underdogs and other rl events in smaller factions make what this sounds like horrendously unrealistic to do as effectively if even at all, hence why you are pros. Your argument would be to then step up our game or quit and join another faction, but some people will probably play loyal over effective, and there is nothing wrong with us being able to disable more features imo. Use what works for you.
Shandurai [25719]
Why not play loyal and effective? You just admitted you know your playstyle hurts your growth heres your chance to fix it. There are a lot of factions in the game, should seem reasonable to find a big one ready to accept you and your buddies you wanna play with (pending they would also want to move up and grow, and if they dont why let them drag you down?)

No point adding more things to be overlooked, the people who are going to read a separate chat are the ones already reading the main box (and announcement/ ticker) the ones who are missing this vital info are the ones who dont even read one - why would they suddenly start taking an interest in checking another random box?

It seems redundant because the issue isnt having the functionality to get the messages out it's that often players just refuse to read.

Edit to add as a faction leader I loved the addition of position in torn it really allowed me to micro delegate and give permissions accordingly... if this is a huge issue in your faction your leaders could consider opening access for the people who need it.
