We should be able to search for items in jail, like cigs, scrap metal, shivs, etc. We should also be able to shank people in jail and be caught doing so. Could make for an interesting mechanic if implemented

yes, doing crimes put you in jail, so you do crimes in jail and the sentence gets longer and harder to bust

Having more things to do in line with the jail gym wouldn't hurt, except you usually get busted out in a few seconds. Is there/should there be an option to select who can bust/bail you out just like the hospital? I don't know, but I do know that there is a suggestions forum for these things. ¯\_(?)_/¯
We should be able to play poker and chess in jail and search for cards and players. This could create an interesting mechanic within the game.
