That's what we did in our last 3 war ago, we "drag" out the war and now the opposite faction are mad that we made the war longer, since almost or more than a month, they've been raiding us, mugging, hosping, leaving us... And They've now destroyed 18k respect from us, so kudus to them.

We get accused of dragging out wars sometimes when all we are doing is not actively medding out for the other side, and trying to run a few pushes to run up the score a bit higher, for better R for perks later. I really hate the meta where people think you shouldn't fight at all if you are outstatted - the only way to get better at fighting is to experiment and practice under difficult conditions. And if we are fighting a losing war, we don't owe the other side any kind of slutting so they can get back to training faster. Literally nothing wrong with letting our med cooldowns recover a bit so we can get a few more hits in, or try out some other tactic to see how it works, in a low-stakes situation.

Sometimes when we've been massively outstatted the other side thinks we are 'turtling' and not even trying to push, because they are putting down our attempts at pushes so effectively they are barely a blip on the graph. But even then, we don't owe them to give up, roll over, and start actively medding out for them.

If you aren't willing to spend a few hours fighting a war, don't enlist, IMO. You might get 'lucky' that a lower stats faction you match is willing to do a deal, or to slut for you, or not fight back, but you might not, and it's weirdly entitled to think that's a problem.

The only time I think it's bad form is if a faction is actively self-hosping purely in order to drag the war out so the other side will offer money to end it faster. But I often see people from the outside having trouble distinguishing that from a faction that's trying to give it a proper go and just really struggling against massive stats differences.

What he described will certainly be seen as "dragging things out" by the other faction.

Question is when requesting your opponents to roll over becomes toxic?
Let's remember there's no concede button, getting beaten over and over is the alternative.

we at jux have absolutely dragged things out when the enemy has acted like twats - it ain't about the caches for us, it's always about the fight.

if you got folks acting cocky and spamming taunts, why the hell would we let it be easy? piss off lol

If it's clear you're going to lose but you drag it out anyway, you cost both sides money, and you inhibit the training time/energy of every single one of your own members. It's just outright wasteful for everyone.

This exactly. There is more to ranked wars than collecting caches. Even when outmatched with no hope of winning, if we are sitting on E, there is an opportunity to work on tactics like coordinated pushes and group attacks. Something learned whilst going out fighting might mean the difference between winning and losing in the next war. Why throw that out the window?

Even if my team is losing I will "drag out" a war. Because in the end the more respect I make...the more I have. The larger my bonus respect and the more points I get.

I refuse to to rollover and allow someone to farm my faction for respect.

Nope, if they never even go on war perks and just train, fly and sit in hosp the entire time making literally zero hits that doesn’t mean there isn’t a landslide victory going on, it just means one side is being twats making things take 8.5 hours instead of less than one hour out of pettiness. And if they’d wanted to they could’ve turtled even harder while maintaining a 0 score (this was against a faction that easily could’ve gotten *some* points, but chose to go for 0).
Yaminos [2108464]
the best offense is a good defense. if they are flying all the time score would be very low. All they need to do is wait until they get a moment to chain and the "flying losers" can walk away with a win.

They weren’t planning on making any attempt though. If they were, they’d have hosped their offliners with mercs or w/e and gone on war perks to hurt our med CD. They were simply trying to be annoying because we wouldn’t make a 50/50 deal even though we way outstatted them. It happens.

I see what youre saying and i dont think i like the "We will ruin your chance to enlist next week unless *XY or Z* " seems scummy. That being said it seems like this behavior doesn't exist in a vacuum. For a team to turtle for multiple days the winning faction has to stop chaining and make 0 effort moving forward, if the winning team played harder and popped a BCT or 2 on a bonus then it wouldnt be an issue imo

Most factions we war with have been respectable, and as we won't necessarily med out for them if we know we are going to lose, we won't self hosp or bounty anymore, dragging things out longer.

However, if the opposing faction wants to be disrespectful, rude pricks...then absolutely we will try and drag things out so they miss enlistment the following week. We don't mind taking a week off of wars to train lol
DedeSiregar [2430598]
I don't mind decay. What I think is dumb when a leader is forcing members to stay in hosp no train no crime just because the leader is salty. And I have seen this many times. After 24 hours should be easy to detect if the war is winnable or not. Heck if you actually do your homework and check opponent activity data and hospital time data and compare it with yours, you can easily make accurate prediction if the war is winnable or not.

When you're a leader, put aside your ego and just do whatever best for members. Your members may say "oh I don't mind" but it's not their job to see beneath the surface and the impact the faction course of action on long run. It's your duty as leader. Think of your members growth, income, emotional state etc. The ambitious ones, the one that can actually improve your faction will quickly see you're being foolish if you keep being reckless tho. So please be extra careful when you make decisions for your faction.

This is what I mean by detailed analysis Fluffle data
Yeah I even interviewed few their ex-opponents to know their turtling methods. Until I came to conclusion we could win that war.

People often only do analysis based on stats tho. Hence many inaccuracy for prediction. Do your members a favor. Carefully study all datas before making decisions if you want to drag the war long or not.

Yeah Ik so much work. This is why I really hate the leadership job. N then even after doing all homeworks properly, you still can meet ungrateful people every now and then who want to leech your faction off without so much a thank you or a goodbye. Damn. Exhausting task.
