it centres torn city, not exactly the US. maps are all arbitrary representations anyway; the classic style we see is a western fabrication as well, it'd hardly be any more valid here than the current version the obvious solution that …

Alaska is gray, but it's part of the United States and the rest of the US is blue so it should be blue too. Don't leave the Alaskan brothers out of this

Only mainland USA is blue because that's the area you're visiting, I think the map is clearer to a global audience as it currently is personally.

If that's your reasoning, why not make the blue area smaller? Torn city doesn't make up the entirety of the US (though that would be interesting), so it wouldn't make sense to include the entire continent.

Thanks for excluding our arctic canadian brothers, and honorary Canadians in Alaska.

Make each country a different colour/shade for a fix.

On a semi unrelated note, why did you choose a map that centers on the US? Kinda weird tbh

By that logic - Only either Great Britain or Northern Ireland would be blue, not both. Only the island we're visiting in Japan should be coloured blue as well.

It keeps it radial. Having the place you're taking off from on the left makes users have to compensate for the pacman effect.

It's not more clear to highlight most full countries but not all full countries. The choice locations this has been done to are large countries... in North America.

Feels a little like a slight.
