· 28 likes · It should have been tested and fixed on a pilot program before release. Not a frantic panic to fix all the bugs AFTER release.
It is clear from the influx of bugs and issues posted in the forums that "Chat 2.0" is not nearly production ready, and the third party provider of this system is incompetent. From simple game-breaking bugs such as the inability to send messages at all, to chats being desynchronised and not showing the same set of messages on 2 separate devices, to chats not showing at all in certain circumstances, it is blindingly obvious that "Chat 2.0" should not have yet been released.
We appreciate that you are trying to improve the game, but this feels like a full degeneration of what was a working system.
We, the people of Torn, request that Chat is rolled back to Chat 1.0 until such time that Chat 2.0 actually works reliably and for everyone.
We thank you for your time and effort, and wish you the best of luck in the fixing and testing of Chat 2.0.

Edit: haven't been able to talk to my faction all day , games pretty lonely and boring without functioning chat. They could have testes this alot better before forcing it upon the whole game.

Yea it may suck now and yes it may be slightly worse than what is was before, but this was a necessary change to both improve and maintain the features that you used to love. The old chat system was laced with problems and connection issues like crazy, but because you suddenly have a less polished, but overall more stable system everyone has rose covered lenses about the old system
So be patient let them completely roll out the system before dismissing it and if there’s still something you don’t like at the end make a suggestion and see if people agrees.
Chat 1.0 was completely dysfunctional, if I was lucky I could use it in one or two tabs 30% of the time. This one is imperfect but we can at least type in it and it has the capacity to be fixed.
That already says more than enough, such a big change (and from what I see lightly tested so far) should had been done post halloween at least, yeah chat 1.0 was bad but better to have one than to have nothing & some extra lag before halloween.
