I am unable to reproduce this issue anymore. Can you try clearing site data from browser settings and see if it resolves the issue? Are you connected to chat in Firefox in the first place?

i'm gonna clear everything from both and try again.

what do you mean with "connected to chat"? at the moment i have the connecting problem where i read chats but 90% of the time i can't write.

first test on Firefox done:
- connecting to server message appears as soon as i open a chat, switching tabs back and forth fixes it (not optimal i'd say)
- tried to change settings and started navigating through random pages after closing all chat tabs, setting were lost in a few seconds.

wil try TornPDA in a while.

TornPDA test:
- same as using Firefox, connecting to server when first opening the chat in a new page, fixed by switching tabs.
- settings seem to be correctly saved, or at least i didn't lose them doing the same thing i tried with Firefox, so i will keep monitoring it but it could actuallt be fixed in TornPDA.

EDIT: sorry, just realized this is the report for the settings only, the connecting issues should go in the other one that is still open if i'm not mistaken.
