Obviously, I'm filing this report on a Tuesday, and both of these messages are from today, therefore either these should both be labeled as Tuesday, or they should both not be labeled as Tuesday. It doesn't make any sense to list the day for only the earlier message.

This has been fixed in Chat 3.0. We follow a standard template of showing the full date/timestamp for anything that is earlier than a week, day + time for everything within a week, Yesterday/Today + time for everything that is within the 2 days mark.
