I’m just looking to be back on torn on a regular basis but have forgotten all the money making techniques except for flying - not sure how profitable it is even now. Is there any other suggestions to kick start my way?

Not sure if you know what ranked war is, but its a faction v faction war that pays out massive prizes to the winner (if they're high ranked)

Flying is the most simple of the three. As you know just fly to a country with a item that makes a profit and sell when you return. Can check out this tool to find the most profitable items. Do note this is my least favorite method as you get locked out of most of torn for a few hours.
