Thanks to the Halloween chains The Peegans have made the milestone of 5m Respect.
I’d like to thank all our members over the years that have warred hard and helped us get here, we couldn’t have done it without our amazing team.
Now a bit of lore for anyone interested (feel free to skip if you have no interest)
In late 2021 a group of us that originally met in The Pending (TP2), a now dissolved faction, decided we wanted to get back together and run a faction together after going our separate ways on the dissolution of TP2.
In November 2021 we pooled our funds and managed to purchase a 1.5m respect faction from a BoW leader and called it The Pagans (TP3)
Taking over the shell we managed to find ourselves in the middle of the FSA war on the map. Since we had no idea what we were doing we quickly decided to get the hell off the map and managed to piss off both sides of the war.
Luckily we had, and still have, good friends in VV who offered to try and get us a slot in the TGA alliance, if we fought on the FSA side. This turned out to be a great move and set us up for the future well.
Another lucky twist of fate happened in that Ched released Ranked Warring shortly after we purchased the faction. This both rapidly increased the value of our shell and gave us an income stream that meant we wouldn’t be relying on leaders funds to keep the faction afloat (thanks Ched).
We warred hard for a year bringing the faction up to 2.5m respect and in late 2022 two things of note happened. Firstly we decided we wanted to upgrade the faction to a bigger shell so we could have improved perks for our members, and managed to secure a deal for a 4.3m Respect faction. And a leader (will not be named) after an argument decided he no longer wanted to be part of The Pagans so without discussing it with the rest of us removed $7b from the vault, the amount he decided he felt his split was worth, and left.
This obviously put the deal at risk but by liquidising most of our RW weapons and again decimating our own NWs we were just about able to afford the new shell, and I’m proud to say almost all of our members made the move with us despite the upheaval and restarting their Days in Faction merits.
TGA was incorporated into what became WW for the first island war, where to be fair we didn’t have much to do except smokes and pillows. But lead us into WW Torn this year where our members again made us proud by consistently punching above their weight.
This leads us to now almost 2 years later where I think I’m finally getting a hang of this leadership thing. I’m grateful for everyone who has helped us along the way and the friends we have made and hope we have many more years of leading this bunch of misfits.
