If they are the big dog, there is no reason for them to be afraid of the AI generated photos, going from topic to topic to bash new designers about the usage of AI.
Reality is, torn is just a small pond. The market for graphic design isn't that big. People like them whine about AI generated photos because they don't want to lose income or they really hate AI.
Check his condescending tone on other posts about AI. He feels entitled. He has a sticky thread literally telling people to check the work before buying it and yet feels the need to go to every single topic to comment or act like a judge.
Also, being a big fish in a small pond, means nothing when you enter the ocean. Torn is a small pond compared to graphic design irl.
Some people are very strongly against the use of AI, but most people are ok with it as long as you’re up front about what you’re offering. This is indeed a small community of designers who are doing something we love for no real money, which is why we care. You can take or leave the opinions given but you’ve got to understand that we do what we do because we love it.
We’re also all happy to help if you do love design and art and want to improve! I’ve seen Abz on every newcomer’s thread encouraging them, cl3ricol sharing all his resources, Truc accompanied me step by step when I tried a graffiti piece in his style. FluffyDuck inspired me to try pixel art, and I’ve made collabs and swaps with jetz, lmage, abz, truc etc. Abz reached out to gfx artists from the last 15 years to get them back, whilst also making room and encouraging keen buyers like runalf and patchwork to make the foray into making their own graphics for the first time!
It’s a good group of people encouraging and uplifting each other, most of whom agree AI can be a useful tool to generate a render or play with ideas. All we’re saying is be up front. And don’t insult our friends without expecting us to have their back. Xzieo recently had a thread where he made stuff for free with renders people provided, damn well showing off his skills over and over, so you detract from your own point by slandering his work - that’s all
A quick profile search can tear down that hypocrisy in seconds. You act like the graphics mafia lol. Get out of here. Those replies were in a post that the OP (Original Poster) informed people of the AI generated work in pms prior to sales.

If you want i can recreate that sig using layers, c4ds and a couple brushes. Torn has a very old graphics community and people were making this shit before AI generation was around. I dabbled back in the day, but never touched the AI shit and still made sigs that look like this
You still are missing the point. You are no king, not a staff members, you are no one. You cannot dictate what resources or how someone is doing their art work.
Has Ched or Bogie made you a moderator to enforce rules or create your own rules? If the answer no, then your input on what is and is not allowed is as valid as a random torn citizen.
I know this is going to shock everyone but... 30 seconds of scrolling through reverse image search results would show that TheGoddessofJustice is not the original creator of that piece anyways.
Also what is fair use? Also it says "free download" when I hover over the download button... so for sale?
My opinion carries very little weight here, but.. nobody can make you do anything.
If you wanna pimp out AI art, whatever. If you want to do it while not being open about the fact that it's AI art.. then chances are someone will roll along and mention it in your thread anyways. So people are going to find out one way or the other. In my opinion, being upfront seems like the best bet. but at the end of the day people who don't care that it's AI art will continue to not care. And people who do care will speak with their monies and not purchase your gfx. This conversation isn't going to change anyone's mind, or feelings about AI art. So why even bother lol.
