Is there a crime equal to hacking yet?

Torn bros, because of some guys telling me that I should switch to crimes 2.0 because of some reasons bla bla bla I did, but unfortunately I lost my hacking money with was already quite a lot with over 600m gained from hacking, but the question is when am I gonna be getting this kind of amount of cash from doing crimes again? Has anyone found that 2.0 is better for gaining cash?

We're only on page 1 of 3 for crimes.

Pickpocketing cyclists has given me around 10k/nerve as of my total 61 attempts.

But that's because cyclists have a chance to drop a Xanax.

You're going to need to develop your CS before you can consistently pickpocket them though.

But you can have some merits

You don’t change to crimes 2.0 for money*, you change to crimes 2.0 for merits and nerve progression.

I’ve went up 2 nerve levels since migrating over to crimes 2.0 and I’ve earned more than 12 merits.

Thats fine if you want to remain on crimes 1.0 to do hacking but eventually you will need to do the progression we have all been working on. You have to weigh up your time and effort if it’s worth sticking around on an old outdated system for a couple hundred thousand dollars when you will likely need 6 months to a year to catch up to where we are. Currently you are ‘wasting nerve’ as it could be used towards new crimes skill progression.

I tell all new players that they should change over to the new system as they will gain progress quicker and in the long run be in a better place than what crimes 1 offers.

P.S the story line and flavour text in crimes 2.0 is excellent :D

Well, never count on crimes for your income.

before crimes 2.0, the usual crime goals would be to gain 60nnb and do hacking while being in a PA team. That's like 2-3 years grind.


Now that crimes 2.0 dropped, with the announcement of OC 2.0, why not reach for potential of the crimes 2.0 'hacking' or OC 2.0 'PA'? Or even greater than that?

300k for 18n is really not impressive lol, especially when you account for the opportunity cost of sitting in a meat warehouse, crippled CE growth, crippled NNB growth, and the fact that you eventually have to do all the new crimes anyway.
