    Sold 10 star candle shop for 1b 1 week before Halloween started. Bought that candle shop at 7 in a dire state (dropped to 6 the week I acquired it) for 400m. - overpriced

Hello! I have decided to try and catalog the prices of every company at every star. I’m going to try and go through the forums history and look at successful sales and try to get a rough estimate for every star. If you would like to help me fill this out, you can comment what you sold/bought yours for and at what star. Unfortunately I can’t really take upgrades into consideration, so I will only be providing price ranges not exact numbers.

Sold 10 star candle shop for 1b 1 week before Halloween started.

Been running / managing / buying companies for close to 3 years now. Prices are either what I've bought at, or what I've observed recently.

8* Candles are 400-500. 9* is 600m. 10* Candles are closer to 900-1b max. 10* Lingeries with bad set up go for 'round 1b, while the good ones go for 1.5b+. 8* Lingeries are 200-400, 9's I'd say 500-600m, 600 is really a stretch if you're selling. 10* Fireworks are 250-300m. The standard price for 10* AN IMO is 500m, 550 if the director wants a slow sell, but it'll sell. 10* Ladies / Gent strips about 800m. 9 & 10* Farm prices should be identical cause they rotate every week. I've seen them quickly sell for 800m, but I'm certain they're actually worth 900-1.1b

I made this 3 days ago, but i knew this was gonna be a multiple month, maybe even year long effort to have realistic prices for every star of every company.

so with that in mind, pretty good so far. keep bumping it, we'll get there together

What are the things that affect price? How do people calculate the value of a company would be an interesting question.. i guess the base price of a company would just be the system value.

When you sell a company back to the system, you get 75% of the cost of the company including any upgrades spent on it (still at 75%), plus 5% of the total revenue made in its lifetime. (Also 100% of any money stored in your vault!)

Is there a way to calculate the lifetime revenue of a comp? Or will someone just have to extrapolate?

There was a also a 9 star psf sold by bravotitan at 6b apparently . My 8 star psf's sel back value currently is 2.68b, taking out the small amount of funds I have in it (minimal to keep the wages paid)

It is exceedingly rare to my knowledge for a companies sell back value to be more than the market value for the company. Because of this you hardly ever see people sell back to the server. There are probably instances of 10+ year oil rigs or something that have exceeded the market value. As for calculating the lifetime revenue, you would likely have to subtract all the upgrades and creation cost then multiply by 20.

Almost all money comps will have exceeded their sell back value in some time. My initial costs for the company was 3b. I'll reach the initial costs in a few months. The reason people wouldn't want to sell back to system must be the comparitively low system value to what they could be sold for to someone looking for stars + income. Like the 6b val is wayyyy higher than my 2.6b sell back val (might be 3b when I'm 9 star)

That's a clever way to find out lifetime income! I'll try to search for a thread in cd where people used to put value in companies if it'd help any. In the meantime we could probably just collect the data from threads here + the people who post!

That’s easier said than done, most people edit their posts so i cant even find what they were selling let alone what it sold for. However i have gone through the first 10 pages or so to find relevant info from people who didnt edit their post. If you wanna comb through the rest and report back that would be great. Some people have messaged me privately about their sales which has also helped.

10* GS goes for 500m-700m depending on speed of sale desired and the health of the company, just sold my 10* GS for 650m and it was good enough to be a close second almost 1st if we'd nailed a few more days with lower addiction

Me and bishop did some work on this waaaaayyyyy back.

It was based on my formula for valuing companies based on their profibility and value of specials.

I’ve ran a couple logistics in the past. Used to buy and sell them. It all comes down to the overall profit at the end of the day. I would much rather pay 6b for a Logistics making me 30m a day with a 12 man setup than paying 4 or 5b for a logistics making 15m with 15 employees. That’s how I think of it anyway. Haven’t done one in ages though.
