Sorry if been asked before but cannot find any info about the combat items quality %.

How much difference does the quality % make. For example does a higher % combat jacket protect more than a lower rating? Is a higher quality weapon more effective than lower? Also, does it degrade with use or does the figure stay the same. My jacket is 0.09% which seems very low in my mind but I have seen some a lot higher.

Thanks for any information on this subject.

Quality on armor increases the armor rating

So if you had a 10% quality vest and a 0% quality vest the 10% would have a better armor rating and therefore protect you better

In terms of degradation armor quality is static, so it cant change or get worse over time. In general things do not degrade with use in torn

As noted above, the quality does matter. As for exactly how much, you can just look. Go to the market and look at an item such as a weapon or armor, say a combat jacket, and write down its quality and armor bonus(es), Now look at more of them and compare. If you look at the same type of items, you will quickly see that the higher quality ones are better and you can see by exactly how much.

While you are at it, if you look carefully, sometimes you can find a 20% item (or better) for the same prices as a 5%. Get the 20%!

Things don't degrade. Guns use ammo which you need to repurchase but your weapon and armor are always new. It is Torn magic!

To be clear for weaponry, a 10% increase in quality equates to a total of 1.00 higher damage or accuracy (in practice, both are increased by some amount that when added to gether equals 1.00). a 100% quality non ranked war weapon would have 5 more points of damage and 5 more points of accuracy than a 0% version of the same weapon.

Armor works the same, but as there is only one stat, it takes 20% quality to increase by one armor point.

I have a followup question. When I have multiple items of the same type, is the best one always listed first? So if I only want one of each type I can happily add the lower listed ones to my market?

Not necessarily the best one but the best quality item is listed first.

While higher quality means better stats overall, in weapons you can have a higher quality gun that has better accuracy, but worse damage than a lower quality gun or vice versa
