Ever since I started playing this game, I have never been in one single faction war that has been anywhere near balanced. We are either being pounded to the dirt, or completely stomping on other people. So it's either I feel completely helpless, or feel like a jerk. It's making me become a little jaded about the whole thing.

My question is is there a specific reason why there isn't a mechanic that pairs factions up more equally instead of just throwing everybody in a pool and relying on RNG to choose opponents?

I would like to have a little bit of fun during war, but it has ever been so tedious either way.

Because faction wars aren't matched by stats, they are match by size, rank and recently fought.

The rank itself is a match of stats in a way though. If your often getting matches that are way outside your stat range you most likely arent in the right rank. Hidden rank also demonstrates this by matching you against ranks that fit your battle stats if you are under what rank it believes you should be

The matching system relies on getting better as more and more matches happen and it learns.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the warring mechanics weren't designed to help the matchmaking system, and the prevalence of cache farms means the system will find it very hard to become smorter

The matchmaking system sucks. It's part of RWing. Once upon a time, it was done based off of faction battle stats. The most powerful HoF factions threw a fit because they couldn't pound on people weaker than them, so they cried until it was changed.

Now they all rig their wars and print Diamond Cache money. Funny isn't it?

Because factions using mercs all the time, they might win wars they wouldn't win without mercs. Making the ranking useless.

sometimes you get lucky its not all bad, its fun getting a war thats back and forth it really brings the faction together when you have to actually coordinate, the points that everyone else made about cache farms, and rigging probably do play a role its definitely a toxic part of the warring mechanic. Just dont play into and try as hard as you can. Youll have more fun if you ignore that kinda stuff and power through

One day a solution will be found.... This is a refining prices that times time, and energy. Props to the Devs and Mods for making this game as good as it currently is .... And for continuing the work to always improve the game.

Yes sadly most ranked wars are mismatches In both directions ...

Im at the top of my faction. My ranked war today is against a faction which has about 15 players stronger than me in it LOL. I have seen the opposite as well ranked wars against semi active field mice with no stats.

I think the ranked war system needs a revamp. There should be league tables and fixtures/matches for ranked wars. Yes promotion and relegation. A league table with matches over a season.

The initial population of leagues should be done based on the stats of the players in each faction.

I call BS because we have enemies where one guy has our entire faction in battlestats multiple times over. I've read the wiki page on ranked war and these guys are nowhere near the hidden rank they should be. This has happened multiple times now.
