Hello hello! I wish I was writing to the community on a happy note, but it happened again. I was scammed. hahaha skill issue ahahaha ggn. cool. glad we all got it out of our system. Now on to the tea:


I feel compelled to share a recent experience that has deeply shaken my trust and belief in the integrity of our faction, and to warn others of the potential risks they may face when placing their trust in fellow players. yes even your trusted faction members.


For years, I had the privilege of working alongside a trusted faction mate - PatrickBateman - within the ranks of Dystopia. PB initially managed one of my mining corporations as a Director with diligence and professionalism, and when he moved on to pursue other opportunities with a LS, I wished him nothing but success and happiness.


Several months later, when the opportunity arose for PB to return to managing a different mine for me, I welcomed him back with open arms. We established a clear understanding of our arrangement, including the periodic fluctuations in productivity that were to be expected due to stock management. I even suggested that if he grew to understand the market and wanted to buy the mine from me one day, he would be more than able to for a fair market price.


Throughout our partnership, PB demonstrated reliability and commitment, making timely payments and adhering to our agreed-upon terms. I even gave him a higher % of the weekly profits since he was returning to manage a co. of mine and thought he deserved it.


What followed was a shocking betrayal of trust. Without warning or communication, Patrickmasterbateman chose to sell the mining corporation back to the system for a quick 9.5ish Bil, effectively pocketing the proceeds and leaving me in the dark. He chose to ignore and block me, displaying a callous disregard for the years of camaraderie and trust we had shared.


Upon learning of PB actions, the leadership of Dystopia intervened and demanded restitution, but he remained unresponsive, ultimately leading to his expulsion from the faction. Subsequent attempts to find refuge in other factions were met with similar outcomes as we ensured that others were made aware of his deceitful behavior.



In a game where deception and underhanded tactics are commonplace, betraying one's own faction crosses a line that cannot be overlooked. It is a betrayal not just of trust, but of the bonds of friendship and camaraderie that should define our community.


I share this not to seek sympathy or retribution, but as a warning to my fellow players. Trust is a precious commodity in Torn, and incidents like these serve as a stark reminder of the risks we face when placing our faith in others.

Let us remain vigilant and discerning, and let us hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards of integrity and honesty. Together, we can strive to create a community where trust is valued above all else, and where betrayals such as these are met with swift and decisive action.

Sorry this happened to you. But thanks for letting the community know to black list the hell out of him. You're doing everyone a great service. Hopefully he comes to his senses, but by looking at his Friend/Enemy ratio. He probably won't.

Threw away over 1k days in a faction to screw over someone that he had an agreement with and that was his own faction mate.

Thank you for the public service announcement, I am really sorry that this happened to you because it is really shady and shitty. Crime game or not, as players we have an obligation to conduct ourselves in a socially conscientious way that improves everyone's quality of life. I hope that you find social justice, even if you never will in game and resource terms, Jennatills.

Not sure what i'm more 'suprised' by:

1) Nurz saying its an issue because the scam is on a faction member and not because its just a 9.5bn scam in general

2) Someone named after Patrick Bateman being a scammer, or;

3) WIT-Premier taking him in

I almost posted about WIT when I saw it. The real question is if they'll keep him.

It's just entertaining how many times when these posts go up, be it faction scam, company scam, ect... WIT is the current recruit status. They generally kick them, but it is an interesting observation.

WIT must message everyone that posts in that recruitment forum or something.

Funny thing is that WIT accepted him right after Dys kicked him, then they kicked him, then he went to SA EQ for a week, just got kicked from there, and WIT accepted him back again lol

Edit: Just to put it here, WIT leaders were very understanding and were trying to convince him to give the cash back before they kicked him again but he's obviously choosing not to.

Epic fail... When you give non-leaders application permissions... This is what happens. Haha.
