New Bonus: Ability to shoot down aircraft

Simple suggestion, Heavy Artillery weapons need a bonus that allows a player to initiate an attack on a player who has flown in the last 15 seconds.

The player with the HA weapon can use 25e to click the little gun icon on the flying player's profile for up to 15 seconds after the flying player initiates their flight and then must use the HA weapon on the first turn within 15 seconds. If the HA weapon misses, the fight auto-stalemates. If the HA hits, the flying player is auto-hospitalized in the country's hospital that they took off from. (No mugging opportunity)

The hit rate is up to the devs / Ched to balance on what they feel is appropriate. Ideally, a yellow level bonus has a lower aircraft hit rate than a red level bonus.

Name of the bonus: SAM (surface to air)

That would be a fun way to keep a faction in Torn before hitting them with a DB

Add a fighter jet plane option that has flares to counter these SAM attacks.

Also, the fighter jet can shoot down anyone who has taken off in the same direction as you within the last 30 minutes or so. If you are taken down, you die.

Unless of course you have the stealth bomber plane unlocked and cannot be targeted. The stealth bomber can conduct precision airstrikes on any individual player that is within torn and hospitalize them for 69 hours regardless of their stats.

This is an interesting concept. I am not sure how a lot of people would like this but I would really enjoy an aircraft fighting branch here in TORN. But with this concept comes across where Ched has explicitly said that he is not going to make flying more fun, and that it is meant to be boring.

To counter this, new transportation mode: cargo ship. Travel times tripled, but can bring back up to 100 items from abroad once per day.

Flight delay company special now becomes travel delay and can be used on cargo ships.

This is just making the old myth that RPG’s can shoot down Planes a real thing. Feel like this has been suggested a ton in the past decade.

if this dude gets his bonus i want a damn tank.... Bonus: All Terrain- allows u to roll over assholes with "SAM" weapons just for having them, 72hr hosp time regardless of stats, no med out or revs
