According to standard economic theory, obamacare has destroyed American healthcare by introducing information asymmetry into the supply of healthcare insurance.
The deterioration of the Canadian healthcare system is 100% due to the meddling of provincial premiers and federal ministers. The federal government transfers money to the provinces in exchange for them holding to a minimum standard of social care. But the premiers launder the money and send to their buddies. Meanwhile the feds shirk any responsibilities to hold them account.
In the end, exorbitant federal transfers occur, the money disappears to corporate interests and the healthcare providers get shafted for wages and the public is denied ever more access, while thinking they paid for it already.
Canadian healthcare workers are seeing their resources and wages being slashed regularly, followed by periods of sub-inflation increases. We are being starved to death. We are the best deliverers of healthcare in the world, but we get kneecapped by govt every time was stand up.

a whole bunch of healthcare workers, who worked tirelessly through the pandemic, got laid off and told they weren't allowed to work, because they didn't choose to get strong armed into vaccinating themselves.
We still are seeing significant shortages due to this. There's funding, there's people trying to offer housing, assistance with housing, etc.... to bring medical staff here, but they are bringing them in from outside countries, instead of fixing the system in house.
