Been browsing through Reddit, haven't posted there yet, thought I'd throw something out here to see what this place is like.
I've had (have, but unplugged) a couple Wyze cameras - one in the entry way of my apartment and a couple at my parents house. There's been a few security issues with Wyze lately so I'm not really a fan of them at the moment. The ones at my parents house are outside, so whatever, but I don't really want something IN my apartment with those security issues.
Now, yes, anything on the internet has some risk, I get it, I'm not looking to dive down that rabbit hole. But what I'm curious about is if anyone has recomendations on things that they trust.
I've been reasearching Eufy cameras, they seem pretty good. There's some history of unencrypted streams but that seems to be resolved. Anyone used these or have any other ideas?
I do have an Amcrest camera that's strictly IP based with no app, etc, so would be the most secure in that sense - but then it's a pain conencting to the VPN on my phone to get in to my home network, pull up the browser, etc.
