How do I go from private to corporal? My stats are high enough.

you get 1 job point a day, and need 5 to upgrade - here's the link that shows it
basically, after having work stats outlined you must still wait 5 days for the job points, and the first tier is instant if you don't use jps on anything prior (you start with minimum 5 jps at beginning/account creation)
2 points per day and 10 to upgrade means 5 days and so on - always 5x days per level even if you have enough WS to progress next

Job points, when you get enough job points, you can promote to the next level. Higher level require more points.
Assuming you have enough job points, there will be a button with an arrow on the top of the screen.
