With the release of the last crime of the current list just around the corner are we also close to the release of the next mission giver? If so what do you think this will entail?

Will we be seeing unique crime outcomes depending on missions, will we have mission specific targets? Has the incredible diversity of crimes made you optimistic for the missions we could get?

Also, with crime missions will we get new additions to the mission shop? Mods have been around for a long time, will a new giver make it significantly easy to get mods or will we get new items specific to crimes?

What are you looking forward to with the next mission giver? And what do you think the last crime of the current list will be?

Things move slower in Torn than they do in politics, it took ~10 years for Crimes 2.0 to be where it's at now and, there's still more than half to be unleashed.

If we're lucky *cue fits of laughter*, there might be some headway by the year 2035, otherwise known as, "soon™"....

Small correction: the last crime for the *current batch of low level* crimes is almost here. We still have 2+ years of crime2.0 releases according to Ched.

We know that OCs 2.0 will drop later this year (hopefully).

I don't know that we have any authoritative information on missions 2.0

I assume there is a crime NPC planned, which wouldn't make much sense to release before crimes 2.0 is fully released. In fact, probably not worth planning out the specific missions even.

There were loads of other mission ideas provided but it's yet to be seen when those will make a priority list. Personally I'd love to see one dedicated to travel (waiting on travel 2.0), reviver/medical/drugs (waiting on drugs 2.0), and racing (waiting on Ched's final racing plans.)

I think the reason we don't have more mission providers is because the battle system is the only one which is prioritized enough to feel complete.

Ah yeah, the operations. To be fair I forgot about those. But they're different systems, the one we call "missions" is properly called "contracts", I still have the newsletter announcing it. So I guess I'll correct to "they still haven't finished contracts 1.0".

Amanda Ravenscroft, mentioned multiple times throughout Crimes 2.0 with flavor texts mentioning her either implicitly ( e.g. Ravenscroft Industries) or explicitly by name.

She's very likely to become the criminal mission giver, or one of them at least if they plan on adding multiple mission givers for different crime types (already jotted down Cornelius for cybercrimes, just in case).

If they add more than one criminal mission giver, I fully expect them to add crime components as mission rewards, whether they're existing materials that are currently facing shortages (bonded latex, certificate seals et al.) or brand new materials for more advanced crimes like specialized chemicals and tools.

My only question would be how they plan on balancing mission credits so they don't become too easy to acquire. They can't lower duke rewards without extremely negative feedback, so either criminal mission givers would give less credits than Duke, or no credits at all and instead pay in items and raw cash. The former makes sense if it's only Amanda, the latter makes sense if it's more than one criminal mission giver.

As for the last crime of this batch, we already know what it is, you don't have to look hard to find it either. Not posting about it 'cause that's flare's thing though :P

If missions didn't give any credits I don't see anyone doing them unless the reward was like you say a very specialised resource, it would be an interesting concept, crime enhancers are already quite abundant so it wouldn't make sense for them to be given a prestige spot in the credit shop.

It would be cool if assuming Drugs 2.0 does allow us to manufacture our own drugs their is a mission giver that is purely focused on manufacturing specific drugs, that'd be very cool and maybe a chop shop for future GTA crimes.

Pretty sure this is Missions 2.0 right now because Missions 1.0 was a finite number of entirely scripted missions.

But considering the 2nd repeat mission giver was leaked years ago it's actually kinda concerning how long it's taken.

Considering the quality of Crimes 2.0 I'm okay with them taking their time with a second mission giver.

Personally I'd prefer access to missions for noob crimes as early as possible as we're all gonna be done with them at the same time rather than all the missions released and the higher nerve peeps going after the top missions while the little guys are still scrambling up.
