Generally .. a few things determine the prices.

We will need to determine a few things,
- the lowest possible "system" price of that kind of weapon.
- then the scrap value of its bunker bucks cache,
- and then the highest/average current available bazaar price of the said weapon
- followed by, if you know, the last transacted price for the same weapon same bonus percentage range ( yellow , orange. Red has different range,- low, med high percentage )
- then if Orange , or red.... Multiply accordingly to the BB scrap valuation.
- Quality of the weapon in that rarity class.
- add 15-50% on top of the value if you deem it to be a highly valuable and very rare combination of stat and bonus.
- adjust the price accordingly when you do see a seller or buyer for that exact weapon.

Otherwise

... If you don't give a shit about researching, then just pretend you want to buy or sell a weapon that you want it or have in possession, to RW traders on the first page of trading forum. Some are very kind and helpful to give you a valuation or give you their best price... Pick three you like , and average it out - then head on to the Auction house.

Or

If you really don't give a f**k.. what others think, just pay whatever you think is worth for tht weapon or sell it for whatever price you think it is worth and fair in your mind. The value of the weapon is the last price transacted between a willing buyer and willing seller. The last price can change daily by a few millions to billions especially for orange and red rarity.

None of the traders can justify any of their prices except that if a buyer demands to buy it under BB scrap value. - Then you just kindly remind them ,... Their price is lower than Big Al BB Scrap valuation. Even traders would sometimes change their prices from a few million to hundreds of millions up and down.

And if you ask me what is a Fair BB value... Which currently stands at 7 mil per BB....and this is my sincere and honest opinion of the RW environment.

" The RW environment is still in it's infant stage, but the price of BB is possibly very close to the lowest possible. The BB cannot be lower then 4-5 mil for reasons I have highlighted above in the research".

A normal Armalite is 20mil
A normal Naval Cutlass is 50 mil...
Mortorcycle Helmet is currently at 40mil , dropped from 60m.
(These are the system pricing) Can RW rifles or Melee sell below these numbers?? I remember when it all started BB was valued at 18-19 mil. Armour prices has a lot of say to the BB prices.

When I see prices of other traders, I don't comment at all - if I do, I just comment Good luck, selling . Fair price. Good trader... And any other encouragement words.

And if you ask me if it is worth getting a RW weapon - my experience is I didn't give RW weapons any consideration till 6 months ago. Even in the Island war a year ago , I just got a Rifle focus ..and later a warlord for RW purposes and Definitely not paying 3-5 billions on Revitalize 12% for Halloween. Faction was kind enough to community Share a Revit 15% for Halloween but a pain to wait your turn with 15 others waiting in line.to dump their energy. There is no pre booking. You queue up and be online when your name is called.

It wasn't till I met Quicken, Eviscerate, Execute, Parry, Motivate ...that I then realize ... I can fight above my weight class with these weapons against someone who doesn't use them along with weapon mods from Duke Missions making changes to enhanced an already good RW weapon.

The RW weapons cannot be sold back to the system like companies to give you back cash, basically the price is players derived and has always been derived by players from the very start.

System don't sell cache to you, players determine the cache value.
Big All don't give you any money, but a currency called BB which is useless other than getting cache. Again you don't see the system giving you any money.
Later the Weapon you can't sell back to the system and none of the city shops will take it and pay you.
So right from the start the price of cache and weapon and armours are all driven by players (especially players with huge cash to roll, and control the Armour market).

Maybe one day, BB is only valued at 1 mil each when the market is saturated with Red rarity weapons.

But one thing is certain, I did get my Assault and later Riot Armours..which is a necessity in the current warring environment. So get your armours first if you want to venture into Advance weapons and stuff. I remember one "fart" was bragging how bad my perceive RW yellow loadout is, by him winning easily against me but he forgot to mention he was wearing full EOD armour worth tens of billions....lol.

Pretty much as Harrywho said, the baseline price is determined by the price of RW caches relative to their bunker bucks. For example, if a small arms cache is going for $160m, and it takes 20 bunker bucks to get a small cache, one bunker buck is worth $8m. A pistol, when bunkered gives 4 bunker bucks, so if you buy a RW pistol for $32m, you can bunker it and come out even with the cache price. Of course, it'd be easier to just buy a cache, so people usually buy items for $7m BB or less, in order to make a profit. (I mean, they bought the bunker, and are spending their time gathering otherwise useless weapons, etc.)

So that determines the floor for pricing. But everything else that comes next is pretty much just public perception and sentiment. (As Squid said). Everybody loves diamond bladed knives, so those sell for a premium. Japanese swords also get the history bonus, so those go for extra as well. And of course there are the RW bonuses, which can be great (revitalize, warlord, for warring) or poor (achilles).

But I'd say most people, and even some traders, don't know if a 56 accuracy 75% quicken is better than a 60 accuracy 60% quicken weapon (it isn't). As such, there is a lot of variance in prices. But I believe you can math out most situations and figure out what a good deal is if you put the effort in.

Also, there are a few people who have the capital to manipulate the market. So what they do is buy all the (for example) Dune armor pieces under $100m and then they sell it for $100m. If anyone tries to sell for cheaper, they buy it and add it to their stock and continue to sell at $100m. If you check the auction house, it is always the same people who bid for everything and then they put it up in their bazaars. I'm not trying to throw shade at the practice, cuz hey, that's capitalism for you. But there are a lot of items with largely inflated prices due to manipulation.

I'd recommend checking Bzimor's market page, to get a good idea of prices: torn.bzimor.dev/items/weapons/bazaar

I also put together a comparison of RW bonuses on different weapons to suggest market sentiment and trends. It was made about half a year ago, before cache prices tanked, so I wouldn't take the prices seriously. But you can see which bonuses and weapons the market tends to favor. In a nutshell, there is no standard for pricing. You can see how other people price items, but there are a lot of sleeper combinations out there that are really high value in terms of how much they improve your fighting chances vs. cost.

Win it in the auction house for X

List it in the auction house weekly for about 9 months at 10X

Eventually sell for 9X

This is how all the traders do it
