Ranked War Ends Early?

I've noticed anecdotally that the last hit of a RW often ends after the announcement of victory/loss. Since I can't sleep, I found the events of my faction's last RW and the issue is present. 

 

War ended at 12:26:32 (https://www.torn.com/war.php?step=rankreport&rankID=14768)

Final attack at 12:26:34 (https://www.torn.com/loader.php?sid=attackLog&ID=c577a70fc10366c6fcef7056327ff0f7)

 

What causes this and can it be corrected?

The war finishes when the finishing hit was landed. There can be some delay after the finishing action is selected which can cause the attack log to be delayed, but the ranked war does not need to wait for the attack logging sequence to finish. Meaning, this is fine and to be expected.
