Yes.  Kyle has stepped down.  Others are leaving when this RW ends... I will be one of them.  I hope most stay and I believe they will.   Damage Inc is a fantastic group and I would recommend the faction to any player that is really looking for a fun time in the game.  You can't beat the Damage Inc. faction chat and comradery.  It's hilarious, clever, informative, and thoughtful by multiple minds with diverse ways of thinking.  They are outstanding at bringing mid-tier players to an advanced level with advice and assistance.

I want to give a huge thanks to the Damage Inc. membership and leadership.  They have been the absolute most fun I have had with Torn and that's a long time.  We did some legendary things during last year's war and with RW's. I have a busy real life schedule so complaining about leadership decisions when I don't contribute my time to leadership is not appropriate.  I don't know everything that they are dealing with and must consider when making tough calls.

I would have never made the deal, but I understand some of the reasoning of why the leadership did.  I get the decision to save weaker friendly factions that were being attacked because of our stand.  I agree with Kyle who said, "let's burn this bitch down". I too would have traded Respect for X+ Energy to the very end.  We were in training mode with no real issues from the raids. I wanted to see X+ use enough energy to destroy a famed faction, then we buy another faction, rename it, build it up... and keep on rolling.  Damage is a corporation after all, so go "bankrupt" and start over.  =)

I hold zero grudge against anyone in the faction.  There is nothing but love from me.  The people that make up Damage Inc. absolutely rock.

X can gloat away.  They won.  They got what they wanted and screwed over an excellent group of people as Damage Inc leadership prioritized saving friends from X's destruction. The new precedent by Uncle and Monarch to extort or destroy factions is not the kind of game play that I think is good for Torn, but it is what it is unless @Chedburn and team decides to make some changes. 

I'll be joining some old friends that have always been super cool and look forward to more good times.  I'll miss my Damage Inc. brothers and will surely be in touch.

I'm staying. I can't allow the average IQ in the faction to go up.

This is absolutely criminal, and I can't BELIEVE that Ched would allow CRIME FAMILIES to ATTACK EACH OTHER, and COMMIT CRIMES, in his lovely, peaceful, HONEST AND JUST CRIME GAME. 

This is an OUTRAGE! What's next? Is he going to allow DRUGS? GAMBLING? 

With this precedent set, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw EVEN MORE CRIMES. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Ched goes so far as to let factions get utterly destroyed. What's next? Will he put big bombs in the game to really wreck factions?

Truly, this a sad day for Torn, and it shows that toxic internet culture infiltrates all games, even peaceful crime simulators like Torn. Who could have ever expected that a mafia-simulator where players are expected to attack each other regularly would experience this sort of violence? 

I certainly did not. 

Running strip clubs in residential zones is probably next.
