Couple Suggestions with no idea what you want to play (All PC)
Rimworld - Colony Management Simulator
Kenshi - RPG style open world with Colony Management if you want (Little more uncommon than Rimworld but well worth it. Takes a fair time commitment)
Once Human (Not uncommon, but new, free to play FPS MMO)
torn.com
Cartel Empire is great alternative to this
give us more specifications, just, on ANYTHING, thats how we can narrow down games for you.
Guild Wars 2 has an active community but isn't widely known. I also enjoy the frustrating strategy of Into The Breach. Both games can be found on Steam.
Guild Wars 2 is widely known... Just isn't widely played... Those are different things... The game is 12 years old, so it's kind of to be expected.
As for game suggestions, I also kind of need some narrowing down, a bit hard to suggest anything worthy without any baseline of what you enjoy playing. There is plenty of peculiar stuff around, but they are not for everyone...
Looking for something story driven? (Like Firewatch or Disco Elysium)
Looking for unusual mechanics? (Like Dave the Diver, Dredge or This War of Mine)
Weird concepts? (Like I Am Bread, Genital Jousting or Goat Simulator)
There is plenty of "different" to go around, some god, some bad...
Renowned Explorers: International Society - Party hex based combat. Exploration and resource management. Fun art and writing.
UnReal World - Survival simulator in iron age Finland. Hunt and fish to feed yourself, build a log house, sail around in raft, chill in sauna.
Cave Story - Old style metroidvania with lots of charm.
both are on multiple platforms
Risk of Rain 2
- indie action roguelike with infinite scaling on both you and your enemies. Gameplay loop is very fun and replayable, while having actual progression outside of runs
Hypnospace Outlaw
- really good puzzle game set in a buzzing 90s internet inspired world. Worldbuilding, puzzles, and story are all great
I found Terra Nil on the Apple Store, free if you gots a Netflix subscription.
Terra Nil is an interesting take on Sim Earth.
Elevator Hitch. It's a short horror indie game free to download on itch.io
Persona 5, or really any Persona
You gotta try out Elden Ring or Project Zomboid, they’re totally lit for you
Completely different but still able to play on phone, browser and coming to stream is FarmRpg . It sounds cheesy but it’s addicting. Pretty large community
State of Decay 2. Not sure if they offer it on pc but on the consol it's pretty ok.
Killer 7 is the only uncommon game that comes to mind
Wurm Online - I can promise you have never played anything like this, it's extremely grindy :) Just like torn... actually its worse than Torn.
Highly recommend Call of Duty mobile
Disco Elysium - Personal favorite of mine, may or may not count as uncommon, but it is hell of an immersive game. Definitely recommend.
I personally play Rust and Oldschool Runescape. Would highly recommend both!
