Why aren't more women in the top 100 battle stats?

Is it because women don't want to watch numbers go up?

Is that top 100 list just a bunch of dick waving?

Do women have better things to do with their time?

Is it that Torn is too toxic for most women to hang around long enough?

Well, I'd say half of the women in Torn hide the fact they are women to avoid all the creepers. 

Another reason, males just overpopulate women as a whole in the game. 

Is the Top 100 just a bunch of dick waving? Partly. There's a lot of steady competition there too, people always trying to get a 1 up on their enemies.

We crowdsourced it by asking a bunch of people, and only came up with three top 100 players who are women. I completely acknowledge that we're probably missing some, but 3% still is significantly lower than the general Torn population.

because there’s no way to catch up to top 100 without spending a significant amount on DPs and women would rather spend on games other than torn

It is my goal to be the strongest female on Torn so we can be properly represented at the highest level of the game

I know waaaay more dudes that play with the female statistic. They'll openly admit to being male if asked. Just they have the female avatar. They equate it to playing a game like Destiny or WoW as a woman, nobody gives a crap in games like that. 

What's the percentage of women in your faction? Or, at a minimum, how many women do you know about in your faction? Is it higher than 3%?

What is a woman? Gender is an abstract concept and the idea of "man" and "woman" are archaic institutions and people can identify as whatever they want regardless of their status as male or female and for all you know, every single one of those people in the top 100 are, in fact, women.

Have you actually surveyed the top 100 and asked each and every one of them what they identify as? Or are you making bigoted assumptions based entirely on the color of icon they choose to adorn their profile with?

This goes against everything the movement has fought against to make sure that the Mars and Venus symbols and the colors pink and blue do not define someone's gender. Why do you insist on reinforcing these harmful stereotypes?

I know we discussed this on the TU server, but I think that being Top 100 for stats is not as important to women as it is to men - they just focus on getting to stats/places that 'feel' good, and then use the rest of their energy doing things that match their goals.

Their goals tend to be more community and social -minded pursuits - reviving, or supporting other friends/factionmates/allies, pursuing fun activities and not just going to the gym and clicking a button or three. While battlestat growth can be gratifying, it's on a very different psychological and physiological level, and I believe women get dopamine and serotonin rushes from more diverse activities in the game - in my experience.

Well yes torn is very sexist and racist

Look at what they did to Brother JS REP.

Just like REAL LIFE woman dont gain as much stats as men do. Like if i train 100 NRG i would gain 200K stats but if a MAN trains 100 NRG they will gain 300K etc etc etc. 

Its just not fair my boss GREEN who is also a fascist wont let me be male in our job. 

I fully acknowledge that I have no way to know the gender of either the general population of Torn or the top 100 players specifically. My inexact methodology was to just ask folks who happen to know a bunch of the top 100 players. I don't. I'm too new. 

But from multiple and separate sources, I heard only the same three names. 

I absolutely think I missed folks this way, but it's not terribly different from how I gathered how many women are in my faction. 

And I promise you that I personally have an expensive definition of both "gender" and "women."
