iphone app issue

I currently have an iphone and use the app there.  For some reason i appear 'stuck' on the notifications page.  When i click the back to torn button it lights up... so i see i am clicking it and its and the phone is reading that im clicking it.. but  I do not move off the screen.  I have tried logging out and logging back in and closing the app and restarting it to no use.  I figured before i deleted and reinstalled it I would see if this was a common problem with a common or obvious solution (or if im missing something obvious!).

 

I have been using the app for months prior with no issues

If you are talking about the official Torn App, that has been out of development for a long time and does not receive updates. If it broke, there is probably nothing you can do except switching to the browser or PDA.
