From the documentation:

The compound score is computed by summing the valence scores of each word in the lexicon, adjusted according to the rules, and then normalized to be between -1 (most extreme negative) and +1 (most extreme positive). This is the most useful metric if you want a single unidimensional measure of sentiment for a given sentence. Calling it a 'normalized, weighted composite score' is accurate.

 

It's based on individual words used not anything from Torn. This is why I needed to exclude Trading, the weapon bonuses "Rage", "Fury", "Revatilize", and so on are all score extremes and were heavily skewing advertisers scores.

 

The score shown is the sum of the compound score of all posts by each user. Each posts score is the average of the words scores that make it up (so a sum of averages).  This is to try to capture each user's effect on the forums as a whole and not have a singular bad post define their account.

I had to fix it this morning.  It was initially only using test data. You are right next to Andyman now.
