As a Muslim, i was raised to respect other people and their opinions but its okay to disagree. Christians, Jews and all other religions and ideaologies i can think of agree on this specific subject... its basic human logic

but this person...

whom im sure doesnt represent any group of people has refered to his primal instincts of blabber and barking from behind a fence due to cowardness and inflated self worth tried to "startle me" by sending me 1$ accompanied with a beautiful, well formed letter that equals or maybe exceeds his level of understanding on any subject as well as the mechanics of basic breathing

First of all i would like to report this person to staff for using obscene language that im almost certain breaks the comunity rules and guidlines and is considered harrasment, i may be wrong so please correct me if i am

Secondly, i dont wanna fight, flame or cause drama, all i wanna do is talk and try to understand where you are coming from and maybe we can eventually agree to disagree like the civilized human i am, if you would like that, please come forward and i will respect if you want to stay annonymous to the public 

Third and last, any person has the right to their beliefs and viewpoints, but sadly people like you push that division further and furher which leads to issues that lead to wars and death for every party involved

There will always be people with "issues". Best thing you can do is to report and ignore these comments. 

You can go to your own profile and "Report Stan" with the notes from this event and staff will investigate.

You're absoulutely correct, i always ignore these type of people, but this time im genuinely curious to hear their viewpoint

It's garbage for there to be "rules" about harassment-- unless they're  (mails/events) sent anonymously, which seem to make it okay!

Make a rule; set standards--- have consequences for those who break Terms of Service, and for  ALL the various ways of communication.

In what Torn are anonymous messages subject to different rules than onymous ones?

I've been called worse things with anonymous dollar sends so I guess the only option I have is "They did nothing wrong". Clearly it's within game rules, you just gotta suck it up and ignore it. Just start placing people that you disagree with on ignore and eventually you'll figure out the people sending you those kind of messages. For me it was multiple people, and was exactly the type of people that you'd expect given how they act in the forums. You'll figure it out.

The only thing that's enforceable would be if they left a bounty on you with that reason. That's publicly and personally damaging and staff definitely will react in that circumstance. 

Some people have a hard time seperating IN GAME trolling and real life prejudice. I don't know if it's ignorance, or people just trying to be edgy, but there is a HUGE difference. 

Every place where you can be semi-anonymous on the internet seems to eventually digress into racism/hate if left un-moderated. And it's sad. 

Better, third option - they shouldn't hide behind anon.

If they want to have a take like that, then sack up and put their name to it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I recommend reporting your own profile to report rule violations like this. Not to take anything away from your post; I just figured I would mention this in case anyone reads this later.

Report to staff if you're getting harassed, I guess you have 50/50 chance depending on the person who gets your tickets' thoughts on terrorists.

just more reason we need to replace anon messaging, cash sending - always used for abuse, what a waste of a perk 

Recently I have come across a "hidden" ruling with regards to these stuff.

The rule is very subjective and vary from one staff to another.

From just those two 1$ event.... nothing in the rule book ...can pin them and penalize them.

But say, if the same person were found to be mass spamming you with the same/similar events... Then this 'hidden' rule may come into play. As said , Very subjective .. nothing black and white , the punishment meted out or not depends on the staff handling case.

Most recent case being the Lat case .

My two cents, admins will deny all they want.. just the perspective from my point of view.

I think anon messages should stay, I think they are a fun part of the game. However, I think there should be a “report message” option on anything sent anonymously so that harassement is dealt with more effectively.
