Cats have the strangest behavior. Mine is a monster sometimes. However he's the first cat I've had that purrs while he eats. Does anyone else have a cat that does that?

Yeah, my cats purred too when i gave them food.
My cats do that too and they are around 5-8 yo.
Cats are from another world
When I have foster kittens, I get first purrs by feeding them chicken :)
My current foster is a timid soul badly damaged by living her entire life in a cage. (She is 18 months old). If I get a purr out of her, it's often followed up by a nip so I don't make a huge fuss. She's very reactive!
Sometimes, my bf's cat is going to growl while she eats. Like, my cat will get close and she gets angry. So she eat the treat I give her like '' mnmnmnmnmnmn ''
My cats pat my beard while I'm asleep to get me to wake up and feed them. We've got a menagerie, and they all have their own personalities.
Greebo the black cat has an underbite, and is blind in one eye, and easily the noisiest of the bunch, he mews randomly all the time.
Rosanda showed up in our driveway one Halloween and never left.
Poe is the fattest calico you've ever seen.
Mowgli was born in our garage and abandoned by his mother.
Fislona prefers my daughter to almost anyone.
Pretty much all of our cats are neonatal foster fails, with the exception of Rosanda.
Also, yes, the kids had a hand in naming them.

So cute! My little brother has a little foster kitten right now that purs like a Mac truck 😅 You could be getting a love bite from the cat. My mom's cat nips you half the time after you pet her
So I have two really dumb cats and one, amber, who is too smart.
If i dont have wet food ready as soon as I get home, she protests. She turns on all my lights, opens my stove, gets in the cabinets. And she knows EXAXTLY what she's doing as she'll make direct eye contact with me the entire time she's doing this.
If only the two cells in her little head would be used for good.
Meanwhile, my orange boy paws at water and wonders why his paw is wet 🤦🏼♀️
