I have something to say...

I just made my 10,000th post on Torn.com. 

It's absolutely crazy to me that I've reached this milestone. A little less than a year ago I noticed that I had finally surpassed my total post count on a tech forum that I follow and I was curious if I'd ever make it to 10,000 posts here. Clearly I have a lot of spare time.

I've made some friends, and made enemies through my forum presence. Torn's forums are just as much a battle ground as the next wall that goes up on the territory map. It gets heated sometimes. And other times it's as laid back as a night in Discord voice with a Dr. Pepper and some discord games. It's been a journey and it's never ending. Far from over.

What's your advice to players on the road to achieve similar milestones?

For new players: Do not make a new thread in General Discussion. You'll just get trolled. Many bounties. Lots of deaths. Most do not survive. If you need money, ask in Question & Answers how you can achieve that, do not beg. You'll likely get referred to the Tutorials and Guides forum, which is excellent. If you ask a question, be very particular in what you are asking if you want a very clear and concise answer.

For older players: Keep in mind that there are forum idiots that screencap and fill their hard drives and bookmarks with everything you say (One of them already commented here even). I feel bad for them, truly. Something that I've had to learn as time went on, sometimes it's better to not post than to deal with what you do post later. Other than the people that I feel bad for. Have fun when you post. The forums can be serious, or they can be a way to get a laugh. It's all how you view any given situation you come across, just like in real life, it's what you make of it.
