I'm sure you're not trying to be disingenuous here but just to clarify:

Your base mugged amount is 5%

With mugging merits at 10/10, it increases this by 50%

5% base * (1 + 0.5) = 7.5% base

With mugging merits at 10/10 and a 41% plunder, it increases this by 91%

5% base * (1 + 0.91) = 9.55% base

So if I mugged someone with my rifle that has $100mil on hand, I'd make at 7.5mil. If I mugged someone with that axe, I'd make 9.55mil. 

Still a beastly Hallowe'en weapon though.
