After spending a huge portion of my life playing torn I've decided todays my last day.
I have some big real life commitments coming up that will need my attention (Fiancé is having a baby) and I really don't like the direction Torn is going in.
The updates are making the game very hard to play competitively anymore.
That said I've met some great people over the years & I have enjoyed it for the most part.

As a fellow father of 2 baby girls, I advise you to keep Torn in mind - the upcoming years are gonna be hard and sometimes you need those friends to ease your mind :)
Congratulations on the pregnancy and future child. Changes a lot of things and is a ton of fun too.
Remember, Torn will always be here (hopefully) if you decide to come back!

Should the direction of travel move much further, my own recent return may be shortlived. Not that anyone would really care. :p
The point is valid though. These changes are taking away from the gameplay. It's becoming a script competition.

I'm not a fan of the way things are going either. I occasionally buy a few DP's with RL cash, depending on how I'm feeling regarding Torn at the time. There are only so many straws you can add before the camel gets crippled. Subscription is up at the end of the year, prolly not gonna renew.
