Hey guys. So. Yea.

What are your ideas for smaller traders like me. I can't collect large amounts of plushies to hold I was working off the % difference between item market and bazaar.

How best would I try to find people to buy off of my bazaar? Or get people to see my bazaar... I feel like I just can't compete until.... whenever the item market % fee comes back next year sometime.

I'm really looking for genuine discussion. Please leave out generic " oh this sucks" as your only reply. I doubt they are going to reverse it.

Edit: oh I should have known not to tell you guys not to do something... what a rookie mistake

Advertising is probably the key. You should be patient enough to advertise that you are selling and buying although you can line up a bunch of muggers it is still an option : ) in my opinion. What a drawback for traders!!!

In b4 graved, but...

Holding large amounts of plushies for museum day is irrelevant now as there's no floor to the points market.

Bazaars won't be usable until there's an in-game way to view their prices without looking at the bazaar, and from the annoucements that isn't going to happen. Besides, too many mobile players can't be bothered with using an external site to look up bazaars anyway, the only people going to bazaars will be PC browser players.

Get used to the new torn "deflation" where all the old ways of making money are getting nerfed left and right. Seems like most of the updates this year has been to drive people away from making cash in game to buying donator packs. Reason why I canceled my yearly subscription.

Oh this sucks

Alright, that's enough shit outta me. Do it like the traders do. It's the best I can figure for the time being. Make a forum post in the trader section and bump it every so often. Since the plan is for Bazaars to be more of a trader thing, when people buy from you, ask them to like your post so you can build a reputation for your bazaar. Maybe ask them to leave a comment. I had a guy give me a free item because I spent a certain amount at his bazaar. If this update/downgrade had been implemented then, I would have found his forum post, liked it, and given a good review. Not saying you need to give free items for high value purchases, but if you don't, good luck competing with that guy.

as newb , the two weeks i worked my ass off to get the points for my bazaar just went right down the tubes ...  the only people this will hurt in the long run are us newbs .

now that everyone except the mega rich  traders will be working the market place  us newbs who lived on the scraps  will not have the capitol to compete .

ive already been priced out of the items i hustled to make money .

where do i go from here ,  no income means i cant make gains ,    i haven't given up yet but things dont look good

Trading post forum has gone to hell in a handbasket with all the Ranked War gear spam. Ranked War weapons and armor need it's own separate forum!

Same as you would if you had your bazaar and trying to sell something fast.  List it close to the cheapest, self-hospt, and wait.  Or talk to your faction mates and start advertising with them.

Let them know you are selling your plushies...  maybe do a bit of a faction deal.  yeah, may lose a bit of profit at first but I think that was the intent of all this, to get traders who want to use their bazaar to find more creative ways to advertise

(FYI, definitely NOT saying they got it right. just my initial observations)

AAAAAAND:  oh yeah, this sucks,

CMOT_Dibbler [3395137]

after most of a day here is where i  stand ... as a solo player  .      my situation does not apply to those who enjoy being in a faction .

as i can no longer compete in the marketplace  things are bleak .

the pi dream ,  if i fly every minute of every day with my 9 item capacity it would take me 3 months to afford the rental on a pi .

then i have to continue flying every minute of every day to pay rent and upkeep .   the only gym gains i would make would be on natural e .

if i stay in my rented mansion and fly every minute of every  day i could do a daily xan / candy jump .   and make slightly better gains then a pi.

i will almost surely never have any passive income  from bank interest  or any benefits from the stock exchange .

i will never have any good weapons or armour unless i get lucky and find it on the map .

when my donator pack runs out  i will fall even further behind in the race for stats because i will never be able to afford another without spending irl money .

i dunno ,  ill keep searching for a way to move forward   but i am feeling hopeless atm

Right now you could join a faction with +10  travel capacity and then pay upkeep on someone's PI, to use their airstrip, why haven't you done that yet?
