despite people hating the recent changes on bazar 2.0 chat 2.0 and some people upset about crimes 2.0 (i love it) I know they said OC 2.0 will be before years end but what do we know about crimes 2.0?

as crime cat Im looking for all info on the upcoming OC's

Friddles [2759779]

This is supposed to be a happy week. Why you gotta bring the mood down by mentioning another upcoming 2.0? :'-(

There is an old forum thread here: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=2&t=16396540&b=0&a=0

and there was a newspaper article with some official comments here: https://www.torn.com/newspaper.php#!/articles/2552

Those are probably the best current sources for information on what's to come.

your name is how i feel thinking about oc 2.0 ...
dead inside
please do not jinx it i want to cash in on the PA before they remove them.

Watch them make it so each participant needs to take individual actions during the oc thus leaving the team waiting for one person to get online and press a button.

EigenGrau [3278579]

My kneejerk reaction was to say that they can't be that stupid. Its pointlessly annoying, and OC 1.0 already has good participation mechanic (you have to simply be online).

Then I remembered the last update.

JDWV [2029519]

If you are in a PA just be prepared to bend over. They are gonna continue to "turn off the faucet" but still keep PSF, Rigs, mining, and rackets flowing like Niagara falls.

(I still feel this is accurate having been in OC 2.0 for a couple months.)

Dead-Inside [2857684]

the main reason to play games is to have fun...
making money or winning is an extra

so if OC's

2.0 is more fun but less money no problem

I mean oil and tv don't even make that much after 40B investment. Just saying. Deduct player wages, ads etc and you'll come down to 40m profit daily. And for 40b investment it's not even that much. You still have to hire people, train etc and with the player market being total shit, prepare to put a lot of effort in to actually make it work. PSF is another story which is total opposite. with 4B investment you get 40m daily profit which is insane.

Heinn [1458370]

I expect nothing good to be honest. It will be another nerfing. “Oh no my PA income!”

My last reason to login torn city is the political assassination crime. If it comes to an end, there is no more reason to play torn. :S

Beerson [1576144]

Ched already said that high end OC (PA equivalent) will have their rewards (significantly) reduced to increase rewards for the lower end, pretending like the pixel money is finite and he needs to budget for OCs, probably another great idea of that retard Lt_Wormtongue.

bogie says the rewards should be higher now, let's see how it turns out with failure rate etc.

So savor your PA income, the Chedding doesn't stop, Ched is getting ready to shit in our cornflakes again before the end of the year.

As to how OC 2.0 will look, my guess is that it will award items, at least partially, and possibly require items (finally some use for Forgery) further reducing the profit.

It will lead to creation of more Noobtrap factions promising OC split to lure in more noobs to abuse and profit from.

There will be massive outcry in the GD about these changes, retards will come out from the woodwork to tell us to "give it a chance before judging it" not realizing they're talking to people who can use both halves of their brain, and don't need months to comprehend a simple problem.

Bogie will lash out at players.

Sugarvalves will lie and gaslight in a newspaper article.

Ched will say they have plans to improve it, won't elaborate and instead will wait for us to forget about it.

Simon_Ho [2739076]

I've said it before and I'll say it again, enjoy the PA income while you still have it, because OC 2.0 will more than likely be released with a majority of the promised crimes missing, which they'll add later on because ten years wasn't enough to fully develop the Crimes 2.0 needed to support the new system.

Grafiti [1557036]

According to Ched,

OC 2.0 will have higher income across the board, while this does mean that the lower OCs will get buffed in terms of income, I'm not sure if it still means that PA (or it's OC equivalent) will have equal or better income than what it currently has.

Also OC 2.0 will have you rely on your faction mates to make smart choices (more appropriate to their own skills, battle stats, work stats), so good luck expecting that from people that can barely stay in Torn for OCs.

wap [2034431]

I still don't don't see the need for a 2.0 version of everything. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

OC's will be higher paid, supposedly if there are 10 "tiers" of crimes PA would be around tier 7-8 so theoretically there will be crimes that pay even more.

The higher crimes will however be limited so don't expect to have more than one team on them or even be consistently available.
