Questions for future threads

There are a lot of posts where I say playershit. In point of fact, I haven’t called anyone I disagree with a pedophile, based on simple disagreement. What I have done is point out where people post justification of practices which may be described by that terminology. 

So. Izzys? We skipping that slur? Zios?  Zioshits?  “Zionist” being used as a veiled way to reference Israelis or Jews? Many other social platforms have handled business with this stuff. I’ve sent you guys the link to Meta’s well researched policy on this. 

I took the opportunity to sit back and look at the state of P&L recently. I realized that it isn’t as much toxic people, because every poster, no matter how polarized, has moments of understanding, humanity, and kindness. Frankly most of them are entirely different and nice people when you talk to them privately. I will more than readily acknowledge my own role in the toxicity. The tendency for people to say things online that they wouldn’t otherwise say is always there, but it can be tempered and stay vaguely within the guidelines of the platform. 

The root problem with P&L is the lack of community management (not subjective punishment). It would be entirely different place today if the community manager had proactively popped in last October and said “hey. We aren’t going to talk about this. It’s a global game, and some of the people you are broadly hating on for their race, religion, or nationality are our co-players and we like them. We aren’t going to call Muslims terrorists. We aren’t going to call Jews, the Jewish state, etc “Nazis” because that is hate speech. We aren’t going to allow veiled slurs. If you’re going to talk about highly charged stuff, you’re going to have to use appropriate words to describe whatever feelings you have, not denigrate the other side.”  A little guidance beyond “just don’t call them the K-word or post greedy merchant memes” would have gone a long way.

I wouldn’t be a P&L regular if I hadn’t gotten dragged in defending my in-game and IRL friends from the hate speech that erupted on October 8, 2023 from my ex-friends. I used to have a policy of avoiding the forums except for the occasional suggestion, bug report, or other innocuous content.  It’s a policy I plan to return to at some point. 

I realize this is worded pretty harshly, but please take it under advisement for the future.  It’s a positive suggestion.

Asbestos: I call people pedophiles. Staff warned and Fermion banned me. It has happened multiple times. It's so unfair. Bogie shouldn’t have let me do it since october 8th 2023. Now, I want everyone to be banned so that I can feel good. 

Just like that old monkey who lost its tail, Asbestos can’t stand to be the only fool in the room, so he’s out trying to drag others down with him. Something about misery and company. 

Just for the record, I called someone shit. And I have accused people of posting in support of abusive practices of child marriage, because theyve done so repeatedly over a time period exceeding a decade. Those posts are still posted. At least three of them. 

Meanwhile bogie has consistently allowed all you terrorism advocates to get away with using some of the most vile hate speech I’ve ever seen directed to the Jews, and he even posted guidance on how to get away with using hate speech toward Jews without actually saying “Jews”. You guys have eagerly taken his guidance and have been on a vicious campaign of antisemitism ever since. Fermion has played a noticeable role in making sure criticisms of Islamic cultural practices are silenced while hate speech against Jews are allowed. I’m sure he isn’t the only one, but he’s the one that seems to do the staff edits anytime someone is critical of abusive Islamic practices. 

And smilin has spent a year creating elaborate smoke screens to conceal all the propaganda with walls of ranting text. 

Projection much? You’re frothing at the keyboard, throwing every accusation you can muster without a shred of self-awareness. The irony of calling out hate speech while oozing vitriol yourself is genuinely impressive. You’re not arguing in good faith; you’re spiraling into a pit of baseless claims and resentment. this thread is purely a battle of moral supremacy.

You can talk about anything really, barring like glorifying sexual assault especially against minors, though if the admins feel their panties twisting they'll come in and shut it down.

Discussion is important. Even though 90% of what I hear in here is utterly awful and makes me ashamed that I share a species with a lot of these chuds, it is important that we express our ideas and be exposed to contrary ones. In this forum there is no need to be polite, just don't threaten, dox, or anything like that. They even tolerate blatant homophobia and transphobia, but I mean that's gonna become the norm pretty soon.

Also Trump is a chump, his voters are sheep, if you want to buy a favor he'll sell 'em real cheap.

You say that, but half of the p&l threads are literally just terrorist sympathizers and people threatening to kill politicians, and I haven't seen a single one get banned.

The key is to side with the most aggressive people. Any criticism of Islam would be dangerous, whereas criticism of jews wont do any harm.

We see the mainstream push this and the sheep follow. Its normalized in social media now.
