I think It's worth making a thread to thank the Devs/Writers/Artists for all the work they did this Halloween.

The new NPC's look amazing, both screen and NPC effects are awesome.

The summoning looked great (Thanks Proxima for summoning!)

The reception I've seen so far has been pretty much all positive, people seem to LOVE this whole new NPC release, and it's certainly got many of us excited.

Agree, has been fun seeing the entire community coming together for it.

Cheers.

PS: Thanks also to bogie specifically for answering a bunch of questions regarding things about them, whether troll or not, and not spoiling everything.

Love it. Has made Torn feel very alive and fun again. Its just a shame that this will be only once a year during the Halloweek and even then, only once per NPC. Seems almost wasteful to develop all these cool things just to be used once a year.

Oh well, at least we have something to wait for.

Nothing much happening today really.  New NPCs.  How many players know how to/can attack them.  Indeed how many players know how to attack NPCs for bonuses?

Not all players read the forums avidly to gain the latest info.

One again TORN..communication issue.  As I said not much happening today, same as any other day really.

I agree to an extent. Some other RPGs may have had article about a new boss (and minions.) but Torn has always been a bit more secretive and let the players find things out.

Also, this NPC isn't exactly new.

If the DB didn't go off the entire event would have started and finished in the timespan of my normal sleep schedule.

Yea it's cool and all but for something this significant I'd like it to you know, last longer so everyone can participate.

If the DB didn't go off I'd be lucky to have even seen M'aol still alive, let alone actually participate in an abroad NPC fight.

But yea give credit where it's due, this is the first good change for torn all year. Which isn't actually a change as it's been in for some years but no one's summoned him till now...

So I guess we still have yet to see a good change for torn in 2024.

Also as a personal note, thanks for actually keeping the committee out of the loop, as it was really cool to experience some of this first hand with everyone else and we could fully enjoy all the speculation

Spoke too fast.

Thanks Torn staff for yet another 1/5 gaming experience. M'aol been awake for 30 minutes yet nobody can't attack because your shitty servers and code can't handle the load. I don't know why I even expected anything better, it's always the same thing.

Only thing I am happy about is the fact I am not paying for this shit anymore.

tbh, even though massive lag massively sucks, it's still cool seeing the community come together to take down a boss.

Man, some of those drops are gamebreaking OP tho
