I'm fairly new to this game. I'm trying to level up my cracking skill in the crimes tab and it's not going up very fast. Any suggestions on a quicker way to level this up to 25 so i can unlock the first cracking computer build?

You might be too young to start on cracking. Are you getting a lot of fails?
If you are, you need to take a step back as the crime has an extremely low failure rate so you shouldn't fail hardly ever at all. Try to do the crimes in order, left to right, top to bottom.
If it's going slow because you're not failing, and it's just going slow. That's normal. Cracking is one of the longest crimes in the game. It has an extremely high nerve usage to get to 100 CS.
Its not fails. Before you get the rig, Brute Force only opens 1 letter at a time. So if you aren't good at guessing passwords, it takes a while to grind through the first 25 levels.
the enhancer (computer chair) will help as well
