So now that Trump won, I think we can finally admit, yeah, Project 2025 is the plan.  

Time to start building those internment camps.  Is Everyone ready to make America great again?

Honestly? I'm happy Trump won, compared to Harris.

But the gloating and carrying on has got to stop. Yes, a lot of people on the left are overreacting--saying they're gonna leave the country, saying it's all over for women, saying the country is going up in flames, etc. But a lot of folks on the right overreacted 4 years ago, too. 

I remember before Trump came along that your average folks on the right were the thick-skinned ones compared to the folks on the left. Now look at us being playground bullies. The jokes about "lib tears being sweet" were funny the first or second time. But it's time to move on be the bigger party. We need to be better than this.

Yeah that isn't gonna happen for at least another month.

he mentioned tariffs and tax cuts. but wont the tariffs lead to inflations since taxing all the imports means the stores will have to sell for higher prices?

That's the whole reason they supported trump. The vast majority of them probably don't even know all of his policies, and really don't care beyond hating immigrants like every right-wing douchenozzle in the world. The thing they wanted most, was to think that they were right. To win. The smug gloating and quite frankly alarming talk of drinking tears is their only source of dopamine.

Side note, and I know my side did it when Biden won and during Obama's victories, what is with the whole "Drink your tears" thing. I mean realistically, that's disgusting. I know you're celebrating other people's unhappiness, but consuming other people's bodily fluids? Then again I know y'all would get in line to suck trump's cock.

America was built on immigrants. There is a big difference between wanting to deport ILLEGAL immigrants and “hating immigrants”.  The huge Latino vote aligns with legal immigrants voted Trump.  It means something to go through the process and become a citizen of this country.

libs are over reacting.  Woman can still kill their babies if state allows.  Nobody is putting trans/gays in camps.  Rachel maddow will be free and still feeding yall nonsense. 

America is back and the world will be better for it 

The idea is that if domestic production is incentivized and made more competitive with foreign mass production, especially so when combined with the tax cuts and assuming his plans to reduce the price of energy are successful, American products' prices will lower as competition increases via foreign companies who want to do business in America set up manufacturing here, with the bonus of creating many more jobs, assuming that long term, that is more profitable than paying the tariff.

So sure, the price of imported products will likely rise, but to the consumer who sees the cost being passed to them on the shelf sitting next to an American product that's 20% cheaper or more, that's helping an American company and its employees, rather than sending the money out of the country.

The point is that we rely too heavily on imports from these countries using cheap labor for mass production, and that we probably should not be leaning so heavily on it.

i get the overall sentiment, that countries should atleast produce some amount of what they need for their own goods. the chips act that biden did is for sure a step in the right direction, as it mostly creates high paying jobs.

but some of these things that trump want to tariff like steel, wont really create these high paying jobs. the assembling of electronics is very labour intensive and wont create "good" jobs. toymaking is the same. clothes, textiles. all that stuff is low value labour.

but even if you want those jobs, who will fill them? america has a very low unemployment rate, it cant become much lower, as it will never be zero due to people switching jobs or taking a temporary leave.
