Inventory max item question

When you have max item inventory or close to it, you cannot:

• Buy additional items on market, stores, or bazaars
• Be traded items
• Be sent items

...if the item count incoming would exceed your item max cap.

However, upon faction destruction, all vault items go to you, assuming you are leader.

What happens if the items sent to you exceed the max item count?

Are they sent to the ether?

Or sent to your inventory to go above item max cap?

Theoretical question unless anyone has had this done to them (via raid) or has done this (via destroy faction button).

Maybe next faction member, i dont know though just a guess

My guess would be that you get all the items, but until you get rid of them, buying, trading, or getting sent items would be restricted, but I honestly have no idea

You would just go over the limit. So you just add all the excess to your display cabinet and away you go.

He doesn't go into too much detail here but does say "this won't affect things like receiving items from crimes or buying from shops while abroad." which jives with the fact I can't find any bug reports about not receiving items from crimes due to max item limit reached.

....still kind of want to watch the world burn and have someone test this. Think Unique would be willing to buy a faction with an armory and then fill it with some plastic swords and destroy the faction after maxing out their inventory?

I’ve had it happen before where my inventory hit the 100k item cap, but any trades that were already set still went through, and I received the items, even if it put me over the limit.

However, if my inventory is at 100k and someone tries to set a new trade after that, they get a warning that my inventory is full and can’t accept any more items. So in that case, any new trades or player transactions won’t go through until I'm back under the cap.

I'm pretty sure that is how the said thing would work too. 

Oooo that's new info about the trade! That's really cool.  I've had a trade denied if it would put the receiver over 100k items.  But haven't have one where the trade was set already and then the receiver somehow got more items before the trade was accepted.  I will verify this behavior on my next trade and post a screenshot of the result.  Thank you Unique for chiming in 🫶
